Our fantastic private guided Outlander tour is a fantastic way to explore many of the on-location castles that were used in Scotland for hit TV show Outlander.
Your friendly and knowledgeable driver guide will take you on a journey of Outlander discovery exploring many sights onboard your private Mercedes Minivan. Hear the stories that make these locations famous both in Outlander, other film and TV appearances and in Scottish history. Many of the locations are within easy reach of Edinburgh. As well as seeing all of the local Outlander locations, we'll also have time visit the impressive Forth Bridges and pass the Kelpies and Stirling Castle to name a few the other sights.
Our vehicles are the perfect size to squeeze down the country lanes that many of the locations are found whilst still being spacious and comfortable for up to 6 guests.

We went in a luxury private van to the highlands and Loch Ness from Edinburgh. Our tour guide Alan made this experience wonderful, we enjoy the 12 hours tour. Thank you Alan!!

What a great day! Experienced Tours was great to work with, adjusting our tour so we did not duplicate something we already saw. Andy was our guide and he was fantastic. Even though we were on an Outlander tour, he was great about giving us history about the sights and the surrounding areas. He booked us a great lunch, checked in with us to make sure we were seeing what we wanted and adjusted our trip on the fly so he could drop us off at our place in Perth so we didn’t have to get a train back. He was absolutely great!! Fantastic day!

We were so excited for this tour and it did not disappoint! Sandy was an excellent guide providing insight into both Outlander and the overall Scottish history. He provided information in a way that was easy to understand and welcomed discussion. Loved his sense of humor and willingness to adjust the day based on what we said and what he thought we would enjoy! Great way to end our vacation - thank you Sandy!

OMG! This was the best tour I’ve had in Europe. From the extremely receptive guide:punctual, organized, knowledgeable, chivalrous… can’t say enough about him. Brand new MB sprinter, branded uniform, umbrella and glasses. It felt like touring with your cool cousin. My daughter and I felt safe and entertained every step.

This was a great experience, and highly recommended for fans of Outlander. Seeing the village square in Falkland, site of the iconic scene when Frank spied a highlander watching Claire was a definite highlight. The day was very enjoyable for casual viewers of the series as well, with lots of castles and history to experience.
Sandy was a great tour guide, and a good listener who made sure he understood our interests. He provided all sorts of insights and background information, and patiently withstood our many questions. His local knowledge was extensive, and recommended a very pleasant lunch location based on our preferences. The minivan was very comfortable, and easy to get in and out of.
Private tours are usually good, being able to spend as much time at various sites as you'd like. What makes it exceptional is having a knowledgeable tour guide. Experienced Tours fulfills all those expectations.

We went on a tour with Hazel today. She was a rock star! We had the best day ever! She was so friendly, knowledgeable and kind! She was very attentive to our interests and we truly enjoyed her company. She’s the best tour guide ever! Highly recommend exploring Scotland with her. You won’t regret it! You’ll remember her forever.

Our tour was a wonderful and immersive experience with Hazel, who has a wealth of historical knowledge! Tremendously affable, she took us to several unexpected points of Outlander related interest, a delicious place for lunch and our private tour felt like spending the day with a friend. She took a number of photos for us and sent them the same day via email. Highly recommended!

Definitely reserve a tour with Experienced Tours! From the moment Alexander arrived to pick us up from our guest house, we knew we were going to have fun. Alexander customized the day as we went along - giving us options, making changes as we added in other stops of interest, balancing historical information with interesting anecdotes, stopping when we saw the perfect photo opportunity, recommending other things to explore the next day, and treatings us like friends. This was the best day of guided adventure ever! Thank you, Experienced Tours, for giving us great memories.

Our family of two parents and three kids took the Outlander tour out of Edinburgh Waldorf Astoria. The tour was way beyond our expectations. Our guide Struan showed us to many of the locations from Outlander including Lallybroch (which is not open to the public), Fort William and Inverness. These are all other places in real life but the logistics were seamless travelling from place to place in a really nice minivan.
He showed us the locations as they were in the film on his iPad which really brought the tour to life. He was also a big Outlander fan so we really clicked on this tour.
We also stopped at a great inn for lunch which dated back to the Jacobite period. I would absolutely recommend Struan and Experience Tours to other Outlander fans looking to do this tour.

Alexander was an excellent guide and we had a wonderful day exploring.
From Edinburgh to Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Then to Sterling Castle
on the way back to Edinburgh.
Would highly recommend.
