We'll assure that your equipment is adapted to your size. We 'll teach or remind you the basic, easy and essential techniques involved with diving answering all your questions.
Once you are ready and under the supervision of your instructor, you will do a first dive 2 m under to familiarize yourself slowly with this new environment. As soon as you feel at ease, you will start exploring little by little (12 m maximum, 40 minutes) in an unbelievable surrounding floating in gorgeous turquoise water.

We had Bebe as our instructor. He was absolutely amazing. I’m not comfortable in large bodies of water but Bebe made sure we spent 10 minutes practicing breathing through our mouths and instructed us on exactly what we’d be doing before we got into the Cenote. The Cenote is very beautiful. We made it to the bottom and I was still a bit panicky but Bebe reassured me even underwater. He held my hand throughout the whole swim! They took breathtaking pictures and videos of us that are worth it to look back at. We even saw a crocodile at the top of the Cenote ( he brought us to the bottom first to make us look up and see)! Great conversation, clear clear clear instructions and communication. Although I was anxious, I would 100% do it again. We didn’t get the chance to tip at the end because he helped us get a ride back before we made it back to the original instructional location. Bebe is a 10/10! The whole experience was a 10/10 even for beginner divers/ swimmers/ anything. Just breathe through your mouth, kick your feet, pop your ears once in a while, and enjoy!!

This trip was amazing and absolutely worth the money! Mariano was very laid back, funny, kind, and was able to explain the basics of scuba diving in a clear way that made me feel secure about giving it a shot. The cenote was absolutely beautiful, and surprisingly fun to explore. I had imagined a big well to sort of practice scuba, but instead it was a fairly deep river winding through the jungle. It was not only a learning experience, but it actually gave a taste of what scuba diving is like as well.
Can’t recommend enough, 10/10!

It was a great family experience. There were 5 of us, including a 9 year old boy, my youngest son. Mariano's treatment was exceptional, very patient, explaining everything to the beginners. The day was great, lots of light, alone and crystal clear waters, the manatee cenote or cenote house is ideal to start this experience, Mariano and Bebe are excellent instructors. Highly recommended. Very kind and great guide. Met Federico at the center just off the strip to get some information and did a great first time dive in the cenote. So beautiful and clear! Saw beautiful fish and blue crabs and even spotted Pancito. Amazing experience and there was a photographer who took our photos and video. Our guide was so kind and patient with us when there we had nerves or panic. He even gave us a recommendation to continue our padi training over the week. Highly recommend!!!

This was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I chose to do this for my birthday and I will remember this experience for the rest of my life. I feel like I had an actual scuba diving experience even though I had never experienced before. Our instructor was knowledgeable, patient, and empathetic. I will return!

Wonderful experience all around! Mariano was a skilled guide with a great sense of humor! It was a treat to get time with him.
My two sons and I, (20) and (15), had never been scuba diving before. I’m a 55 year old female. Mariano kept us safe while teaching us how to enjoy his craft. The views and the experience were both incredible!
We are a family who travels and we have gone on different excursions all over the world (from swimming with many sea creatures in multiple oceans to flying in helicopters all over, once in Alaska where we went dog-sledding on a glacier, and so many more) and this excursion ranks in the top five for me. My twenty year old says it’s his number one ever! I give it an 11 out of 10!
If you are interested in scuba diving, this is the perfect environment to learn!

10/10 experience. So beginner friendly but also challenging which made it so worth it! Our instructor was such a gem and made us feel super safe and comfortable. The Cenote is stunning. Sparked a new love for diving and I can’t wait to go again!
(Make sure you eat a good breakfast before going. You will need all your energy! Prepare to sleep soooo good after. We were exhausted!)

brenda was an incredible instructor and guide to us as my partner and i have never dived before. even though it was my first time, she explained the equipment, procedure, and safety protocols so thoroughly and had a calming demeanor in the water which eased my nerves and i truly felt like i could trust her with my life. we practiced before beginning our dive and fixed any potential problems (mostly psychological). the actual dive was mindblowing, like entering another world! we saw needle fish, crabs, colorful fish, and ponchito the alligator! the way the light shines into the water is heavenly. overall, i felt so grateful for the opportunity to do my first dive in casa cenote with la calypso diving center! brenda was the perfect guide for us as she shared beautiful, personal stories about her family and diving experience. i could tell she was deeply connected to the water as she shared that she named her son Akbal, meaning 'blue night' for when light enters a dark cave and reflects off the water. we will definitely be back!!! ♥️🤿🐊

Federico made the whole thing very comfortable. It was genius that there was no boat ride (which wouldn't bother me, but I have family members who can get motion sick, and would enjoy Scuba a lot more this way), and the spot we went to was a lot, a LOT of adventure yet easily reachable in the time we had to scuba. Federico spoke English well, which helped me a lot. Really great experience.
