Gorgeous walled city and very picturesque. Our guide was very warm and friendly. He was extremely knowledgeable on the history and had many interesting facts to share. The only negative is the Viktor talked way too much and way too fast. We are all English speaking and his English was amazing, but, he just said way too much too fast. It caused our entire group of 6 to just tune out at times.

We had a fantastic private tour by Tea. As a native to Dubrovnik she was able to provide her personal experience during the the war in the early nineties and well as a very knowledgeable history of Dubrovnik over thousands of years. My husband and I enjoyed the tour immensely and highly recommend her to future travelers looking for a one on one tour of this great city.

My husband and I wanted a personal private tour of the old city and our guide, Vlaho, delivered beautifully! First, he was so accommodating to our schedule, which I contacted him about as I was making the reservation. We arrived in Dubrovnik by ferry from Hvar, a 3 hour journey, and wanted to check - in to our hotel and have lunch before meeting him for the tour. Thus, our tour began in the mid - afternoon, which was perfect!
As well, his communication with us days leading up to the tour was excellent.
When we met he asked us about our interests, etc... and while we visited the places noted on the tour, he also showed us areas and pointed out points of interest that we inquired of, particularly areas we were interested in re: the war in the early 1990's.
He also shared with us a little of his background, including his work in the United States, which was quite interesting.
Vlhao is extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions patiently and in detail. It truly was a private personal tour: hitting the areas he typically covers (and what is noted in the tour description) and, yet, also covering areas that were of particular interest to us.
He even recommended a fabulous restaurant, Konoba Dubrava, above the old city that serves delicious Croatian food, and we were lucky enough to get a reservation ahead of time to pre-order the signature meal.
We felt the price for the private tour was reasonable and we highly recommend any first time visitor, especially, to book this tour with Valho.

Our guide shared a lot of insight into Dubrovnik’s history, but was a bit dramatic. He did provide a reasonable overview of the city, although he wasn’t able to answer a few of our questions. On the other hand, he did give us a great lunch recommendation. We were disappointed that the tour didn’t include the Rector’s palace because we expected it to be covered.

Vlaho was a fantastic tour guide. We visited parts of the city that we never would have found just wandering around on our own. He was always able to find places away from the crowds to explain the history and significant areas. Private tours are the way to go.

Our tour of Dubrovnik’s Old City was the single best private tour we have had over our two week holiday. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. He shared the city’s rich history from ancient to modern times. I left with a true understanding of the culture, people and history of this amazing city. Can’t wait to return.
