Wow wow this cruise ship, food and the Elegant Suite and Balcony on the 2nd floor were all amazing.
The trips were great too, all well organised and prompt.
There was nothing not to love.
We did 2 days and 1 night which was perfect for his.
Our personal person from the port to the end was called for short Gin (I think) was very personable, without being too over the top - perfect.

We had a lovely time on the Athena. We done a 2 night cruise and it was the best option because we got time to relax and we were not rushing trying to do everything in one day.
We were picked up from the hotel at 8.30am and had a 2 hour drive in a luxury bus to Ha Long Bay port. We stopped off at a Pearl museum/shop en-route.
We were looked after by Hannah once we stepped off the bus. Hannah was so good at her job and made sure we were well looked after from the start of our cruise to the end.
The food on board was top class. All fresh food brought on board every day.
We visited a cave and TiTop island and went for a dip in the sea on day 1.
We kayaked to 3 x seperate caves on the second day, saw a few monkeys and visited a pearl factory.
We were very unlucky with the weather as it was raining and cold during our time there but that did not stop us from enjoying it.

What an amazing trip from start to finish. Collect from your hotel for 2hr approx journey with tea break. Arrive at the port all luggage taken ahead. Take you on small boat to the vessel and then transfer into the Athena 2. We had premium suite with balcony. Activity are planned trip to cave and the Titop mountain as well as things to do in the boat such as a cookery class. Top deck is amazing for the sunsets. Would definitely recommend this and the service is out of this world.

what amazing cruising. this is my first time in a cruise ship. this is wonderful trip. the sea was calm and soft. with cool windy breeze. the ship crew was firendly. but unlucky for the squid fishing
