This cruise was memorable. It is hard to describe how stunningly beautiful Lan ha Bay is. The boat is very recent ( about a year), our room was impeccable. The food was excellent. Brian, our butler was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the history and culture of the region. The whole staff was super helpful and friendly! We kayaked twice, and it was magical. No guides to keep you on a leash, just go and explore this magnificent Bay. It is really worth it to do 3 days. You will miss out a lot if you just do 2.

Incredible experience! Went for a girls trip in May 2024, and everything was perfect - the rooms, the service, the tours - everything. Excellent attention to detail, such as white glove service when on excursions, providing sun hats on the boat transfer, and customization of meals based on dietary restrictions. We opted for the diamond plus package, which included private transfers to/from the boat, a private tour of a local village, beach BBQ, and tour of caves by boat. David even created a video of our day from drone footage - incredible! The consistency of having a dedicated butler (Peter) throughout the stay was also wonderful.
Highly recommend. Priced well, and worth every penny.

What a brilliant trip. Although it cost a lot of $ it was the trip of a lifetime . We went on Ponant expedition cruise from Dunedin in NZ for a 21 day cruise visiting many subantarctic islands ( including Macquarie Island ) and the Ross sea. We had plenty of landings on zodiacs to places such as Shackletons Hut and
Scotts Hut and lots of places to see wildlife ( penguins galore, elephant seals, birdlife but also mega herbs). The Naturalists on board were brilliant and made the trip . Very comfortable ship ( Le Soleil ) with only 180 passengers . Its a must if you can manage it

Perfect stay! Nothing to say really, the staff are really very professional, with sincere kindness!
The meals are of very good quality, the excursions well organized and the boat magnificent without there being too many on board. You can only have a great time thanks to their unfailing dedication.
Special mention for our butler Cici who was incredible and also to Rachelle and Hary for their professionalism and who do their best to make this moment the best.

Overall a pleasant experience, with some strengths and other points to improve (or at least be aware of before booking).

Positive aspects:
- Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Especially our waiter Brian was great;
- Very nice and newly built boat (beautiful decor in the room)
- Nice pool (considering you are on a medium-sized cruise)
- High standard evening menus; excellent quality food;
- Beautiful scenery.

Negative aspects:
- During the weekend the boat was extremely full and there was some confusion. We had to eat in the 'bar' area as there was no room in the dining room;
- There are many families with children, which is not a problem per se, but it does mean that there is a lot of noise and commotion in the pool and restaurant;
- the trip to Viet Hai village was not well organised: we left 25 minutes late and the beach where we were supposed to swim was so crowded that we (guests) preferred not to stop at all;
- the timing of meals is strict and a bit strange: on both the second and third day there was no real lunch, but a buffet served at 10am; breakfast is from 6.45am to 7.45am (so very early);
- our room was on the 4th floor and in the morning from 6am we were woken up by the noise of people doing yoga on the deck on the 5th floor (not the best place to relax).

The crew was amazing - they make this cruise worth it. Our personal butler Tommy was always ready to help us and Victor made us yummy happy hour cocktails and Leila helped us a lot too :) Nar kept the ship's passengers happy and well organized across so many activities - he's amazing! The activities were great, definitely do every single one! Special shout-out to Tin. Thanks to everyone for your great service.

The room is gorgeous and the boat is great! I recommend getting into the pool at sunset for an amazing experience.

My only point of feedback for potential guests is that the cruise covers food, but not drinks.

I think the Elite of the Seas cruise needs its own unique rating. The cruise is beyond excellent and one of the best travel experiences we have had. The cruise is spectacular and the itinerary is flawless. What makes it memorable is the crew. Special mention to Jay, Tim and David. No request was too big for them and they looked after us like family. Words can’t describe our experience!

What a once in a lifetime experience. We spent 3 days and 2 nights aboard this beautiful ship. The food and service were 10/10. Our Waiter Peter was wonderful and went beyond to make our stay perfect. The co ordinator Harry also was very friendly and helpful and welcomed us and made us feel special.
We enjoyed kayaking around Halong Bay, experiencing a Vietnamese village and also seeing caves whilst being on a fisherman's boat steered by one.
The experience is one we will never forget. Highly recommend to anyone thinking of cruising Halong Bay. Definitely an experience not to be missed.
Special thankyou to Peter, Harry and the crew.

We’ve just finished a 3d2n cruise on Elite of the Seas and had a wonderful time. From being picked up from our hotel until the time we left the ship at the end of our stay the service has been exemplary.

The boat itself is beautiful and very well equipped. Everything looks and feels luxurious and we were definitely on the best cruise ship that’s currently sailing in the area.

The food was delicious and my partner, who doesn’t eat fish or seafood, was very well catered for with alternatives. The dishes are well presented and served promptly.

The drinks are a little on the pricey side but that’s the only downside of the trip that is within the ship’s control. Sadly the state of the ocean isn’t in their control and it was upsetting to see the pollution. But as I say, that isn’t in the control of Elite of the Seas.

The staff are top notch. They’re all really helpful, kind and nothing is too much trouble. The cruise manager, Tim, and our butler, Layla, provided exceptional service from start to finish and I honestly cannot fault them one bit.

This is a trip I would definitely recommend!

Just outrageously good. Boat was only 5 months old and immaculate. Food and staff superb. The only slight negative was that we thought the trip to the caves by boat wasn’t quite as exciting as expected (and the timing of the 2 breakfasts was a bit strange), and felt like we were only on it in order to accommodate the new guests arriving that day. Compared to all the other boats we saw in Halong Bay, this looked head and shoulders above all the others. Thanks to Kevin for looking after the four of us
