The price to take the extra work into organizing the two trains two buses and two shuttles is worth it when you are knowingly going to be jet lagged tired and want to have it all taken care of. I woke up super early and i should have prepared a cap for the afternoon sun, the best cardio i had was doing the last 30 min of stairs like on level 3 of stairmaster with less oxygen that you are used to. Great guides! They know where to take pics and how to do it for you! Very educational on history and story of the findings of macchu picchu and bingon who stole artifacts and never returned them to the rightful owners now held in YALES basement archives...OVERALL breathtaking in both senses! come with your water and watch to time that you dont miss your train back! Lunch included which helps!

The tour is more of a service that gets everything together for you. They arrange all of the transports and then a guide at Machu Picchu but from place to place there is a bit of figuring things out. Overall it was worth it. Also there is a bunch of walking so be ready!!

The agency that confirmed my booking almost 3 weeks ago to go to Machu Picchu for 1 day emailed me 36 hrs before my Machu Picchu trip and changed my itinerary for 2 days and 1 night or cancel my trip. I cannot cancelled my trip coz I already in Cusco. I booked my hotel and made arrangements to my other tour in the city in advance and I have to cancelled all the things that I need to do (I cannot refund my hotel and tour coz last minute) just to see Machu Picchu. I was in Machu Picchu village and the guide who I met didn’t speak English at all. Then the day of the tour, the agency and the guide didn’t say anything about bus ticket. I was alone and trying to figure out how to get a ticket and finally the agency sent me a bus ticket so I can see the Machu Picchu. The agency both the bus ticket last minute after I asked where is my bus ticket. I was so stressed to this trip and spend more money than what it was. Horrible experience.

Amazing experience beyond words. I will say that the first tour guide was a no show and created quite a problem. Viatour made up for it and got us with a reputable and very competent group to still be able to make it on another day. In the end it was all worth it and will continue to use viatour

Our guide for the trip was very knowledgeable on the history of Machu Picchu and went above and beyond to get great pictures for all of us and took us to a very good restaurant after. Would recommend to anyone.

Yes we were sceptical, like many of you probably are too, all I can recommend is don’t be! These guys are excellent, not a lot of talk, straight delivery!! We were met in the city for a handover of our tickets and everything else we would need for the day tour of Machu Picchu. Everything went according to plan, and we didn’t need to lift a finger. It’s well worth it to use these guys as opposed to booking the million buses, trains and taxis you would need to get there. It’s almost the same price as you doing it all on your own, trust me it’s not worth the headache. We visited Machu Picchu today, July 22 and again, these guys were amazing. 0 complaints!! 5 stars.

Ok, so to start we did have a good time and we did get what we paid for in the description.
However, I think other people's reviews have over-sold this.
This is not a 'tour' but an 'arrangement'. You won't be part of a group and you won't have a tour guide.
You will have a driver who takes you to the train station, where you have already been given tickets.
When you get off the train someone else will take you to the bus stop and put you on the bus.
At the entrance a guide will meet you, with other people from all different groups etc, that have also paid for this.
Then when you leave Maccu Picchu it will be the same arrangement in reverse.
This means that at certain points you don't really know what's happening and there can be some waiting around, as the fixers gather up other people from other tour companies.
Overall, we had a good day at Maccu Picchu.
My other advice would be not to use Viator. Personally I didn't like their communication and customer service. I think you could arrange a similar thing when you get to Cusco - there are plenty of tour companies providing this service.

Don't forget a light jaquet for all seasons or the only experience you will have is the Karate kid movie (put the jaquet, remove the jaquet...). Lol

I chose Machu Picchu Best for our trip to Machu Picchu from Cusco. I am so glad I did. They did a superb, very professional job. Doing the trip in one day involves a lot of planning and scheduling and I am really glad I decided to use them instead of trying to do it myself. And the price was almost the same as if I tried to do it myself. They have a great team working togetherand the whole day was carried out seamlessly. And the site is incredible. It will be something my family will remember for a lifetime. I highly recommend Machu Picchu Best .

I cannot explain how much I love this company enough. They kept me informed every step of the way. To be honest I thought it was a little weird how they were dropping me off my tickets at my hotel but it was super beneficial. They sat down with me and gave me a map that explained in detail times and transportation. I was picked up and dropped off at my hotel exactly on time. The trip was definitely one to remember! I highly recommend.
