To be quite honest, don't waste your time. If you must go just take a cheap bus tour.
We did a private tour and once we got to the DMZ zone we joined the group that took the bus.
I would class it as marketed, hyped up rubbish just for the tourists.
If you go you'll see what I mean.

Song was very punctual and interesting to talk to. He does this tour often and is a mine of information.
If you are short on time, this is a really good thing to do because you can see some of the countryside on the way to the DMZ and after you can go directly to Incheon to catch your flight.
