This is the only tour of Ephesus that Lonely Planet gave a recommended star too, can you can see why. The tour guide Ugur, was so knowledgable and fun. We were hitting him with a barrage of historical questions and he answered every single one of them. I'd recommend this tour extremely highly.

The tour was fantastic! So much history, so much to see, and so much fun! Our guide, Uğur, was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. He showed us things and gave us information we wouldn’t have otherwise gotten on a “typical” tour. It was really nice too to not have to have our time taken up with sales pitches. Mehmet runs a great company and I highly recommend No Frills Tours!

My husband and I did the 2 day private Ephesus and Hierapolis/Pamukkale tours with No Frills. We loved our tours and highly recommend No Frills if you want a personable, entertaining, engaging and intelligent dialogue in addition to your tour! Our first day was the Ephesus tour and No Frills was happy to accommodate our request for an early start - cruise ship crowds are best avoided if you can manage it and an early start helps that! Metin was our guide and he was amazing. If you closed you eyes and listened to him speak you’d swear you were watching a professional Nat Geo or PBS documentary- his voice was so smooth and his delivery was so thorough and easily understood it was remarkable. And he could answer any question with ease. We spent a lot more time than expected at Ephesus and it was a pure joy. Our second day was to Pamukkale with Mehmet. The drive from Selcuk is long (+3 hours each way) and Mehmet was a pleasure. The ride was uneventful (good!) and the enjoyable conversation made the ride fly by. Mehmet did not go into Hierapolis/Pamukkale with us but did provide an overview at the entry point and was available by phone throughout our time exploring. On the ride home we stopped for a wonderful meal where Mehmet ordered a variety of foods for us to try. All this without any hard sell, time consuming shopping stops. A big thank you to No Frills for a fantastic experience!

Wow Metin is the best tour guide we have ever experienced!! Thank you for being so funny, informative, interesting and patient. We had a couple of guides in Turkey, and Metin has been the best. Mehmet was also very easy to communicate with over email. Highly recommend this company if you are doing a tour of Ephesus.

This tour was excellent and well organized! I enjoyed every minute! I wanted to visit many things in one day. Almost impossible but my tour guide organized it in a way that I visited all of them and still we had a lot of time to relax! If you are in Ephesus you have to book your tour with no frills Ephesus tours!

Great & informative tour of Ephesus with our guide Metin. It was easy to book & we met at the top gate of Ephesus, so when we entered it was an easy downhill tour of all the sites. We were able to ask lots of questions. We visited with our kids (12 & 7), Metin was great with them. Would highly recommend No Frills, they made our visit easy, informative & enjoyable. Thank you.

This tour is a must do. It was super easy to set up and we picked a time that worked for us .
The guide, Metin was knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Ephesus which made for an enjoyable experience.
We were a group of 4 and this tour was one of the best parts of our trip.

The best tours are the ones that stay with you - the sites, the historical information, and the guides - and that is exactly what we got with our tour led by Ugur and accompanied by Mehmet.
What a pleasure it was to be immersed in the history of Ephesus, without the touristy distractions of the rug and pottery sales! This was history at its best - up close, well described, and accurate. Not big groups where you couldn't hear, just the attention and knowledge of Ugur who loves good stories, his heritage, and his country.
We not only recommend the Ephesus tour, but most certainly the terrace houses.
