Visit the archeological ruins of Coba, accompanied by the 3D sounds of the jungle and the narrations of Frederick Catherwood, who explored the Mayan culture in the mid-nineteenth century. On your tour, you'll discover an ancient church while your narrator introduces you to Chac, the god of rain. You will then discover the ball game and its rituals, Chumuc Mul, and one of the altars as Frederick tells you some of the secrets he discovered about the Mayan gods. Your tour ends as Frederick tells you his own tragedy, with a visit to the highest pyramid on the Yucatán Peninsula, the Nohoch Mul.

Although I can hear the narrator’s enthusiasm for research and history, this self-guided tour lacked substance. I did not walk away enlightened with much new knowledge at all.

This was pretty good for an audio tour. Some of the highlights were in the incorrect places and some of the information was old. Regardless, it was fun. the audio would start automatically when I walked by one of the landmarks via GPS. The map was handy to have. It would be nice if some of the other features were listed on th emap even if there was not audio for them. Even though there were a few shortcomings, I did get the additional tours for Chichen Itza and Tulum.
