I found this tour by chance as I was searching for things to do in Avanos, and I'm so happy I did! It was one of the most memorable and most interesting tours because we got to meet more locals and actually see the process behind different forms of Anatolian Art. My favorite part was seeing the local women at work weaving carpets. It takes so much time, precision, effort, and skill!
To be honest, I didn't realize that this was also a shopping tour...I was not mentally prepared to receive sales pitches at each business we visited. However, I appreciated that nobody was pushy and everyone was still so understanding and hospitable.
I think our private tour was made even better because of our guide, Samit. He was very friendly and genuine. He even took us to do some shopping in non-touristic areas which I really enjoyed. Along the way, he also taught us more about local history and culture surrounding the Anatolian Arts.

Today, the 18th of May, we had this tour that allowed us to know more about the different Anatolian Arts (Carpets, Ceramic and Potteries, Marble Arts and Jewellery).
This totally worth it. This was a private tour for 2 people, with Mustafa, our guide.
We did not expect so much diversity in the tour. It was very complete, we were not in a hurry anywere, we took our time to do everything we wanted. We drank Tea or Turkish Coffee at all the places we visited, and had a lot of time to discuss with the people presenting their Business.
This is not only cultural, this is all Cappadocia. We visit plenty of places and cities with nice point of views, so this is very complete. Probably more interesting than a standard Classic Red or Green Tour.
Even if you are not especially into Art, you will be interested and sometimes even impressed by the beauty of this Tour.
Thank you very much to our Guide and the Driver that accompanied us all day long !
