Outstanding tour guide, Sú. Explained everything throughout the trek and at the home stay. The bed was incredible and the cleanliness was unreal! I was highly recommend Sú and David (who managed the booking). This was superb -5*!!!

Stunning trip, amazing views, and incredible boat rides! The overnight accommodation was basic, but clean and the hosting family were lovely.
The first day was great, and the guide was completely clear on what was happening; on the second day, our guide sort of forgot about us, we were on a separate coach as coming from the overnight accommodation and the guide was bringing a group from Hanoi. We ended up taking 3 different coaches that day, and 2 different guides - without any clear guidance on what to expect. A bit more communication on the second day would have got this to a better rating.

My best friend and I went on this tour (one night, two days) as part of travelling Vietnam.
Firstly, the bus from Hanoi to Sapa was extremely comfortable - there was WiFi, charging points, privacy and the seats were lying down.
Once we arrived we had a lovely lunch before starting our trek.
We did 12km which took 4 hours and we’re not really prepared for that elements - it was very misty with poor visibility due to the time of year. It was much colder than we expected so bought coats in a local store.
The terrane was was very difficult due to how muddy the tracks were in the rain.
Our guide Su was absolutely fantastic and her and the local woman from the village helped us down the mud hills - they were so kind and helpful. Su was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the area.
Our home stay was beautiful and food was delicious!
If we were to do this trip again we could bring wellies or hiking boots! Also extra clothing as homestay is cold at this time of year.
There was an option to do a second hike in day 2, however we decided to stay in the lovely village and have a massage and a walk alone!! This was due to the poor weather and slippery hills with excessive mud.
After the Day 1 walk, the local woman who assisted sold a lot of local clothing, although we bought some things, we felt a lot of pressure. However we were very happy to tip due to the excellent assistance on the muddy hills.
Would definitely recommend this trip and a special thank you to Su for being so friendly, helpful and proving us with all of the information we needed.

Nice location. Many places to visit for family & adventures as well.
You can spend 2-5 days. We preferred train to reach Sapa from Hanoi.

There are multiple good and bad things on this tour. Lets start with the good parts. The transportation and the things you visit with stunning nature on this tour are really good and especially the night in the bungalow is a highlight. The dinner and breakfast in the bungalow is also really good.
The downsides are: You don't have a specific group you do the whole trip with you basically get added to two separate one day tours. You will have lunch twice at the same place and the items at the buffet range from terrible to edible nothing is really good. On the second day we were in a tour with 25 people which is more than advertised and with such a big group everything takes way more time. You will visit a huge area with pagodas on the second day which is stunning but according to the guide there is not enough time to visit the beautiful tower at this area which was a huge disappointment!
Overall there are surely better tours to visit Ninh Binh, you better spend a bit more money on it. I recommend a 2 day tour since there is a lot of amazing things to visit.

Really glad we did the 2 day adventure, amazing experience from beginning to end. Pick up, drop off, accommodations we're excellent, attractions spectacular. Lunch was just ok.

We really enjoyed the 2 boat rides (Trang An & Tam Coc) in the valley area. Each one had slightly different scenery. The tour of the Temple of Emporer Le Dia Hanh was interesting, but the Bai Dinh Pagoda was so beautiful. The lunch buffet was awful on the first day but the lunch at the Pagoda was really delicious. If you can do the tour with the overnight stay.
