Get an introduction to some of the best beaches on the south coast of Crete on a guided day trip to Plakias and Preveli Beach. Venture through some of the island's amazing palm forests and then relax at the beach!As we go to these beaches, crossing with our bus the wild Kourtaliotis Gorge, we stop to see the magnificent waterfalls and the springs of the little river Preveli. Then we head to the sandy beach of Damnoni where a ship will take us in approximately thirty minutes to the famous Palm Beach Preveli.Leaving the Palm Beach Preveli we go for traditional lunch and if you want for one more swim in the picturesque village of Plakias.

Jolie balade dans le cours d'eau douce avec les palmiers de chaque côté (durée de la balade, environ une petite heure). C'est un beau cadre avec une plage de gravier. Prévoyez donc des chaussons pour marcher dans l'eau si vous avez les pieds sensibles. Autre bémol, lorsque nous sommes allés, il y avait beaucoup de vent au point de faire des tourbillons de poussière sur la plage. Il y a beaucoup d'arbustes et avec un peu de chance on peut se trouver un coin à l'ombre. Possibilité de se restaurer sur place, sandwichs ou plat type poulet frite. Le plus difficile est de trouver une table. Nous sommes arrivés par bateau mais il y a aussi la possibilité d'y arriver en voiture en empruntant en chemin caillouteux. Pour info, la houle n'était pas forte malgré le vent. L'eau de cette plage est un peu fraîche, sans doute dû au vent, mais ça ravigote 😁. Peut-être que si vous tombez sur une journée moins venteuse , c'est plus agréable.

This tour is absolutely incredible value for money. You get to experience three stunning beaches and drive through the Cretan mountains admiring all of the beautiful views. Not to mention the fantastic tour guide Barbara, who not only was excellent in providing information about the tour itself, but also shared interesting historic and geographical facts about Crete as well. All in all we had a wonderful day and cannot recommend this tour enough! It is a must if you're staying in Rethymno and want to explore the south of Crete!

After 1120 km of visit to this magnificent island I loved the people the landscapes etc Rethymnon was my favorite 😍 the old town the port a passage required zu bar in front of the beach the cactus an atmosphere and people at the top super super

You got what it specifies. Fab day out visiting tiny churches down valleys, taking boats to hidden beaches - which had hundreds of people on it. Then we went to fab little town with another beach where we had lunch outside & another swim in the sea. Great to see more of the island of Crete, it’s a beautiful place.

If you like to lie on the beach, this is a nice trip. We didn't really like it much. Fortunately, there were some terraces where you could have a drink.

Very nice excursion to an enchanting site despite the many tourists. The advantage with Platanos Tours is that we get there by boat and thus avoid the more than 400 steps to get down there. Very good guide. I highly recommend.

Nice and easy trip, they picked us up on time and they were always punctual throughout the stops. The guide and the driver were friendly. For the first stop, the gorge, you need trainers and bear in mind it's very windy. The second stop, Damnoni, is a very nice beach. The boat trip was great, very beautiful view of the coast. Preveli was amazing! Although there are many people and the toilets are terrible. Finally Plakias was nice. Everything went well and I'm happy I did it. I would have taken off Plakias and stayed in Damnoni, because there isn't enough time there to swim, and then in Plakias we really just had lunch. So I would have done gorge, Damnoni, Preveli and then Damnoni again.
