This place is on the skirt of HCMC, I thought was a real farm, is more like a big garden , which is good to provide you with the experience of picking your own vegetables. The place is nice and clean and everyone was very nice.

Really great experience with the HCM Cooking School. Our Chef and Guide Linh was great and made the day a heap of fun and got to say we cooked some amazing dishes that tasted so good! Some of the best food we have had so far. Great facilities and service. A must do when you are in Saigon, good value for money.

So happy we chose this cooking class, the tour around the local farm to collect our herbs and vegetation was great and the instructions while cooking was easy to copy. Enjoyed every dish made and was given recipes to take home.

Both the farm tour explaining the various plants, spices and vegetables was super informative and delivered in a easy way to remember. Also discovered things I didn’t know about certain cooking techniques, and I have extensive cooking experience!

It took about an hour due to the traffic condition to reach the farm/cooking school at Cu Chi. Given ice cold shiso tea to drink throughout the stay.

Got to see some cows/buffaloes and the organic farm which has mainly herbs, vege, fruits and oyster mushroom.

Got to sample some cashew nuts and sweet cashew nut snack which you can buy cheaper here than in town.

The cooking class is easy to follow and satisfying to be able to cook these few dishes. We are given the printed recipes to bring home or you can buy a recipe book for USD10.

What a fantastic day out. This was a little bit further out of town than we expected, a bit over an hours drive from our hotel but Viator says 6 hr tour, and it was with the drive to/from.
We started with a walk around the gardens learning about the different plants and their culinary and medicinal properties and we picked some for use in our cooking.
We were then served a cold drink and fruit and had a bit of a rest, it was a very hot day, then. We were asked about food allergies and other issues, I don’t eat pork, so for that dish I substituted oyster mushrooms which we hand picked. Delicious.
We first made prawn spring rolls, then moved on to caramel chicken, bbq pork and noodle salad, then banana spring rolls for dessert. Needless to say, we did not need dinner that night!
All food was prepared individually, not shared amongst the group or with a partner, so personal preferences for things like no pork, or how much chilli you use was all up to your own tastes.
We made all the marinade, dipping sauce and salad dressing from scratch. All very delicious.
Prior to starting, the wonderful assistants had already sliced the chicken and pork, peeled the prawns and chopped the garlic and chilli and set out additional cooking items such as spices, oil etc.
Chef Lin was happy, knowledgeable and very encouraging, especially to those in the group with little cooking experience.
I highly recommend the Ho Chi Minh cooking school as a holiday activity if your looking to learn about local cuisine or if you want to fill in a day not filled with the usual crowds and traffic of Ho Chi Minh City.

It was so much fun! Tien gave us lots of cool facts about the leaves and ingredients we were picking, I don’t know anything about food and herbs and their benefits so it was great and she answered all our weird questions haha oh and the food was soooo delicious!!! I wish I wasn’t so hot and sweaty bc my appetite wasn’t big but ugh the food was amazing!! It was fabulous and the staff were really helpful with our booking since we had a bit of confusion after booking. It was very worthwhile I’m glad we went!

This was such an amazing experience. We really enjoyed learning about the ingredients of the food and the medicinal benefits. Our chef Linh was so kind and informative. I would highly recommend this experience to a friend!

I wanted something beyond the typical tourist experience since this was not my first time to visit Ho Chi Minh. The cooking class and preceding tour of the garden to pick supplies to use in our meals was wonderful. IMore food than we could eat and I have even tried some of the recipes at home and they were a success. I would recommend this class to everyone.
