This tour was an excellent experience for us that highlighted a lot of information about Communism in Hungary. My husband and I did this tour on a very cold day this week (04/24) with another lady and the 3 of us had a fun time despite the rain and cold because of our very knowledgeable and kind tour guide Gabriel. He was also extremely patient and despite the inclement weather, he did the tour with enthusiasm. He tried his best to present both sides of the spectrum. Gabriel is definitely one of the best guides one can hope for. The lady with us also stated that she wanted to be in all of Gabriel’s tours while she is in Budapest.

Daniel and Raymon, were fantastic sources of information, their knowledge of the communist era is very thorough, I highly recommend this tour. Not only did they know about the commie times they were on top of the interwar years and the he of the Kingdoms of Hungary

As a history buff with an interest in the post-war communist period of Eastern Europe, the 3-Hour Walking Tour About Communism was the best one that I experienced while in Budapest. Gabriel conveyed his very comprehensive and detailed knowledge about Hungarian Communism as we stopped at key sights of historical importance. His passion for and knowledge about this topic was evident and made the tour even more interesting. The tour was not rushed with plenty of time to ask questions and take pictures. A nice ending to the tour was having a coffee at one of the few remaining authentic communist period's establishments, along with a ticket to take the tram back to the Pest side. All in all, an excellent tour for anyone who wants to delve into the history and intricacies of Hungarian Communism with an excellent guide. Highly recommended!

Pretty much as advertised which is what I was looking for. Hungary's history is more complicated than I knew and I'm glad that aspect was covered. Interesting to know that the country doesn't seem to have any towering 20th century figures around which most of its citizens can rally.

This was a fascinating tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting facts about communism in Hungary. I would highly recommend taking this tour if you have any interest at all in this topic. A great tour.

The tour guide was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, took the time to integrate the group in the conversation and had a great sense of humour. Our family also got the day of the tour wrong and he was patient enough to make arrangements for us to meet the group at a convenient point. Truly appreciate his effort and his ability to communicate a challenging topic in an easy to understand and enjoyable way. Highly recommend the tour!!!
