Over half of the trip was the tour guide taking us to places blatantly trying to sell us stuff, like to a "carpet school," "papyrus museum," "oils and spices stores," etc. where you'll get a 5 minute demonstration followed by, in some cases, very pushy owners trying to make you buy things. Conveniently none of these places were listed on the itinerary. However, the tour guide and driver were very nice and knowledgeable about the pyramids and history, so that's a positive. In hindsight, hiring a driver for the day to see things for ourselves and skip the obvious traps would have been better. Or ask to skip these places and just do the sites listed.

Our guide Sayed Amin was incredible!
Very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. Provided us with the option for add ons such as camel rides and shopping, but didn't pressure us to do any of it. Very friendly and answered all of our questions. Our driver Tohamy was very great as well and the car was as extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend!

We booked Emo tours at both Cairo and Luxor - at Cairo our Guide Ahmed along with driver Mohamed were excellent, knowledgeable in thoroughly covering the Pyramids at Giza, Saqqara, Egyptian museum and taking great quality pictures.
At Luxor, our guide Mustafa and driver Hammato were excellent, knowledgeable in thoroughly covering Karnak, Luxor temples, the tombs at Valley of kings and Hatshepsut temple and taking great quality pictures. Mustafa is also fluent in French. We highly recommend Ahmed/Mohamed @ Emo Cairo and Mustafa/Hammato @ Emo Luxor to

This was a private tour, and I would not recommend it. Our guide, Rana, seemed to be a very sweet person, but her English and communication skills limited her to formulaic presentations. These were repetitive and hard to follow because of her poor pronunciation, and she frequently misunderstood our questions and comments. (Sadly, our driver often understood us better than she did.) In fact, trying to follow her speech was exhausting. Overall, there was clearer, more coherent information about each site in Viator's summary of the visit. We were told by the company that we could have some direction over how our time was spent so that we could focus on what especially interested us. However, Rana was unfamiliar with the one tomb at Saqqara that I particularly wanted to see, and when presented with the Wikipedia entry, said that the tomb was somewhere else. After consulting with the driver, she took us to a tomb with a similar name. This felt genuinely dishonest. The tour was rushed and eventually shortened, presumably because we didn't want to visit a "papyrus museum." Much time was wasted because Rana insisted on taking our photos in front of monuments. This was not our objective (we wanted to better understand what we were seeing). We tried to refuse, but the activity seemed unavoidable. I had hoped that in booking a private tour, we'd have a more personalized experience. In the end, we were relieved when the tour ended and we were returned to our hotel. A car and driver would have been a much better option.

I think the camel ride was great fun and the best part. The problem was my guide said it cost $10 the said it cost $40 plus tip after I committed. Throughout the tour there was constant pressure to provide a good review for only doing her job. Unfortunately I just had another tour today and it was so insightful and fun. I think we were off on the wrong foot when she said she would lose her job, if I gave a bad review is emotional blackmail. Not impressed. I do not know her real name as people called her by another name. I think 3 stars was being generous. Maybe there is another group that wants to hear about her family and sandal wood..I was hoping to get a informative guide. Becareful for the trip more time was spent at papyrus store and perfume store and carpet store then the pyramids combined...

The guide gave us a brief explanation and we were always taking a break.
They cater to travelers, but even when I make a private reservation, they keep telling me to take them carpets and a papyrus factory.
Even the Egyptian accent was difficult to understand.
I couldn't even take a picture, so it was really nice that the driver took one for me.
I liked the driver and car better than the guide.
I really like the driver and want to see him again.

Our time with our guide Khalif was memorable in many ways. We found Khalif well-organized and Extremely knowledgeable. He guided us through the tour with many stories and details, and we covered a lot of ground in the time we spent with him. He also planned a camel ride for us as part of the tour, which was quite enjoyable. He's also a great photographer and took many many photos of us during the tour. The tour company was very flexible and easy to coordinate with and accommodated last minute changes which was great. The place we stopped for lunch was also very good and a much needed break during the heat. I'd recommend this tour 100%! Absolutely wonderful!!

Had a fantastic time. Ahmed was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable, made the tour and the history behind Memphis, Saqqara and of course the Pyramids sound every bit as intriguing as the history and legend state. And all the sites, especially the Pyramids were just as majestic and wonderous as I had hoped. Oh and I also had a fun camel ride so I can tick that off my bucket list! The tour also completed quicker than I anticipated but it did not feel rushed at all. A testament to Ahmed being a very good guide. I therefore highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area for the first time. Also very good value for money with lunch included too 😃

The driver and the tour guide were excellent good looking and very kind, the private car was new and very clean and in good condition.
The pyramids of Giza, Sakkara and the Memphis are very nice locations. We have a bit poor tour guiding. I mean very basic information about the sites and Egypt history. I felt we are in hurry to go to the next site. We could have much more to see and discover in Giza and Sakkara but the tour guide was not interested to share more information about the sites then the really basic ones.
The lunch was very nice in a place that is opened four only tours and tourists.
