The Giza Pyramid Complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site also includes several cemeteries and the remains of a workers village. The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 kilometers (8 mi) southwest of the city center of Cairo.
2. Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu)
Khufu's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found but the site has not been excavated

Menkaure's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king's pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple

Khafre's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king's pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860

7. Bent Pyramid
The Bent Pyramid is an ancient Egyptian pyramid located at the royal necropolis of Dahshur, approximately 40 kilometres south of Cairo, built under the Old Kingdom Pharaoh Sneferu (c. 2600 BC). A unique example of early pyramid development in Egypt, this was the second pyramid built by Sneferu. The Bent Pyramid rises from the desert at a 54-degree inclination, but the top section (above 47 metres) is built at the shallower angle of 43 degrees, lending the pyramid its very obvious 'bent' appearance.

The Red Pyramid, also called the North Pyramid, is the largest of the three major pyramids located at the Dahshur necropolis in Cairo, Egypt. Named for the rusty reddish hue of its red limestone stones, it is also the third largest Egyptian pyramid, after those of Khufu and Khafra at Giza. It is also believed to be Egypt's first successful attempt at constructing a "true" smooth-sided pyramid. Local residents refer to the Red Pyramid as el-heram el-watwaat, meaning the Bat Pyramid. The Red Pyramid was not always red. It used to be cased with white Tura limestone, but only a few of these stones now remain at the pyramid's base, at the corner. I had finished the tour today with Fatima (guide) and Abdul (driver). She took me around everywhere I wanted to go and her knowledge of the history surrounding the pyramids was great. She was happy to take photos of me when I wanted her to, and the driver stopped when I wanted to, and got me a bottle of water (as promised). I felt comfortable for the most part.

You are taken to several shops (a perfume, papyrus and a carpet shop as well as a sweet shop), which I definitely didn’t sign up for. However, just like she assured me, no one in any of the stores were super pushy and I said no to buying most things except for some chocolate tea - and I did have the option of saying no to the perfume shop after I explained that I had been to the papyrus shop on a previous tour. It was fun having a go at weaving the carpets too!

Whilst my paragraph on the shops was big, it didn’t overshadow the main attraction and I would say the tour is a good deal for the price you pay.

The tour was wonderful. Our driver Mahmud and the guide Osam were at our hotel on time. The guide was very knowledgeable and patient. He answered all our questions, gave us some free time to walk around places and take pictures. He was not rushing us and as the result the trip took 9.5 hours including very good lunch Ina buffet. We highly recommend the company.

The pyramids in themselves are absolutely amazing and what made the experience even better was our guide Omar! He made everything so easy so that we could just enjoy our times with the tour. He got us through all the lines. He got us a camel tour which we hadn’t initially booked but decided to do while there. He took us to all the best picture spots and took literally hundreds of pictures of our family for us. He has lots of information to share and we had a great time. I even requested that he take us on the museum and Coptic Cairo tour we had booked for the next day because we had such a great time.

Tour was ok, even if the explanations where quite robotic, and there was no really the feeling to have an egyptologist in front of you keen to share her passion for this field.

Then everything was kinda ruined by the fact that we did could only have our lunch at 6pm... I mean, you cannot have lunch included and then have it at the end of the day... That's a dinner. So prepare yourself having to withstand the full day without food, bring something in your backpack.

I actually wanted to leave even a worse review, but I understood that in Egypt there's a different mindset and you, as a tourist, you have to adapt to it, somehow.

Guide tour operators will try to oversell you stuff even if you have pay everything in advance. Secondly, all guides in Egypt will try to bring you to a shop where they sell "true" artisanal stuff (at least they say so)... Well avoid it! the price is four times what you can find elsewhere in any bazar / market.

This tour covered all of the key Old Kingdom pyramids sites, including Saqqara, Denfu, Memphis and Giza. All of the sites were amazing, making this a once in a lifetime experience.

We wanted to focus on the sites, so booked an option with guide, driver/private car only - declining the optional lunch and camel rides. But we were still pressured to visit a carpet school & shop, a papyrus shop and a perfume shop, consuming precious time and pressuring us to buy.

Also on the negative side, our guide spoke very poor English and was difficult to understand. And the tour was reordered from the description, doing Giza last instead of first. That saved us some crowds, but caused our time at Giza to be shortened and the sun was in the wrong place for pictures, which was disappointing.

Me and my husband chose to do this trip as it was our 7th wedding anniversary and what an amazing and unforgettable experience.we absolutely loved the entire trip and the tour guide was excellent and very well knowledgeable. We would like to say many thanks to Mr.Tarek he's really an amazing guy he made us feel so welcome and treated us very humble and went out of his way to help us with regards to the trip and our personal struggles we had that day. Really what a very nice gentleman,I would definitely recomend him and when we next visit egypt we will definitely be asking for him to take us on more tours his knowledge and kindness is outstanding. He deserves more than a 5star rating thank you Tarek
