Explore the World Heritage–listed Daintree Rainforest on this private 12-hour tour from Cairns. After pickup from your Cairns hotel by your private guide, your day tour begins by heading north along Captain Cook Highway, passing through the beach suburb of Palm Cove. Continue your journey north along Great Barrier Reef Drive, one of the most picturesque coastal drives in the world, Your next stop is the small seaside town of Port Douglas, where you'll have a short tour before heading to Mossman Gorge. Enjoy morning tea at the Mossman Gorge Centre. Then hop aboard a shuttle bus accompanied by your naturalist guide, and head into the national park for a guided walk in the dense tropical rainforest. Heading further north and passing by the sugarcane fields of Mossman, stop for lunch before joining a small cruise on the Daintree River. Back on land, continue north along a picturesque road toward Cape Tribulation. A stop at the Alexandra Lookout and stop for icecream before we board the cable ferry across the Daintree. Return to your accommodation.

For those being collected in Cairns and the beaches, the day begins with a trip along the scenic Great Barrier Reef Drive, to Port Douglas. The road hugs the mountain side and we stop at Rex Lookout to enjoy stunning views of the Coral Sea. From here, we cruise to Port Douglas, picking up any extra guests and stopping at Flagstaff Hill which overlooks 4 Mile Beach.

4. Mossman Gorge
Mossman Gorge, located on the southern edge of Daintree National Park, part of the Wet Tropics of Queensland UNESCO World Heritage site. Enjoy morning tea at the Mossman Gorge Centre. Then hop aboard a shuttle bus accompanied by your naturalist guide, and head into the national park for a guided walk in the dense tropical rainforest. Admire views over the granite boulders and clear waters of the Mossman River, and if time and weather permit, you can take a swim.

Situated in the rainforest by the banks of the Daintree River enjoy a quality restaurant lunch, with a choice of meals available served with exotic tropical fruit selection.Local Tea & Coffee included. Tropical fruit presentation by our host, Richard.
6. Daintree
step aboard the boat to take a 1-hour cruise on the Daintree River. Keep your eyes peeled for crocodiles and other local wildlife.
7. Daintree Region
Shortly after at the Daintree River and board the cable ferry to cross this mighty river
8. Cape Tribulation Beach
Cape Tribulation is where the rainforest meets the reef and you can take it all in from the Kulki Lookout. This is the most northern point of our day tour adventure, so from here we begin the journey home
9. Mount Alexandra Lookout
Alexandra lookout provides panoramic views over the Daintree delta, river and out to the Coral Sea.

A very full day of adventuring throughout FNQ. The Mercedes bus was extremely comfortable, and our guide, Michelle, was knowledgeable and funny. The lunch was lovely, and our many stops were well planned. Definitely well worth the money! We would highly recommend to anyone who wants a great overview of crocs, indigenous lore, beaches and rainforests. Photos and memories to keep with us for a long time!

Simon was brillant. He has an Incredible breath of knowledge of Daintree Rainforest and all things Australian. His disposition is upbeat and fun. His love of nature is palpable. He is genuine and considerate. We (a couple w 2 teenage kids) spent 12 hours with him and never a dull moment passed. Cheers to being great at your job and sharing what you love to do with others.

Our guide Michelle was very friendly, knowledgeable and made our trip an unforgettable family experience. The tour was well organised and we managed to enjoy the unique wildlife that the region can offer. Thank you again for this wonderful time!

A relaxing day, with a great guide (Mario was the best) - swimming at Mossman Gorge was fantastic, we saw crocs on the cruise, delicious lunch, even a family of cassowaries on the way to cape Tribulation.

Darryl our guide gave us a great day, he was so informative and knowledgeable as well as great company. We were a group of 6 friends from Townsville visiting our own back yard as such and we learnt and saw so much that we would not have experienced had we done it on our own. A great day.

We booked this tour after being recommended via Melody in Cairns visiter center. The price might seem higher than others but this tour is well worth it, I can safely say this tour was one of the most memorable I've ever done. Steve was a fountain of knowledge but was also able to deliver that info in a way that we all understood easily. He was also excellent at keeping us on track so that we managed to squeeze a lot in and he kept us well informed of where we were going. The lunch we got was fantastic, the fresh salt water Barramundi was devine and the owner of the restaurant provided fruit from around the world with an explanation of where it came from. There was so much in this tour that I couldn't possibly fit it all in here. I would highly recommend book I ng with these guys and if youre lucky you might get Steve.

Generally very well handled form start to finish. Simon in office was a great help and our guide Steve was brill. Very knowledgable and helpful. The trip is as described and well worth the extra money to beat the crowds and cramped busses. Although we were given an itinerary, there were no timings on it and ultimately my fault for not checking but, the fantastic lunch was scheduled for 11:30. Come on, who has lunch at that time. Apart from that it was an awesome day out. Very highly recommend it.

The tour we did with Steve our guide was incredible. An amazing day out filled with lots of laughs and fun. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable of the area. Taking us to places that we were just in awe of. River cruise was great fun and then CAPE TRIBULATION was so spectacular. This is a must do tour on a visit to cairns. It was certainly a full day and very much worthwhile.
