Giuseppe is incredible. He has excellent taste, vast knowledge of Salina and what it has to offer, is a great translator both literally and figuratively, and is very reliable. A great, lovely travel companion as well. He organized activities and logistics for a 150-person wedding across an entire week seamlessly, including an Italian disco night, caper and wine tasting, and the synchronization of church bells to mark key wedding moments. Highly recommend

My partner and I were one of dozens on a large friend / family wedding experience. This wedding was a masterclass in elegance, complexity, planning and execution. Giuseppe was our guide. He was first class. We’ve been on many guided tours and this one stood out. Over the course of a week, we took part in 2 boat tours (one included lunch on another island, the other we visited a volcano), made pizza, tasted wine, moved 150 people from venue to venue. Everyone everywhere was high vibe, on time, food and wine was exceptional, local, made with love and pride. Every time I stepped on or off of a transport, Giuseppe was there, quietly overseeing things, smile on his face. By the end of the week, he and I were having really interesting talks about local water conservation, his involvement with local municipal politics, and of course food and wine. It really felt like having a local best friend looking out for me and my family. Highly highly recommend.

Just had the most amazing eco gastronomical tour with Giuseppe on the heavenly like Island of Salina 2 days ago. Not only do you get to immerse in the untouched beauty, the serenity, that Salina has to offer, you get to learn about the eco system of the island and how the residents have long mastered the craft of creating a self-sustaining environment whilst protecting nature at the same time. A farm to table lunch can be organised upon request. We never knew capers can be cooked/prepared in so many different ways! This is a must do tour if you want to experience something that’s truly unique to Salina!!

Giuseppe -- the creator of Salina EcoGastronomica -- is one of Salina's hidden treasures. Anyone who seeks him out will have a hugely enhanced experience of the island. Giuseppe knows Salina intimately and is driven by a mission to share his knowledge of the island, especially its agricultural heritage, with visitors. My wife and I spent a half-day with Giuseppe and learned first-hand about the island's caper and wine production, followed by a small feast of capers prepared in different ways and served in the charming setting of one of the island's wineries. But while Salina's agricultural heritage was the focus of the tour, in the end we found just as interesting and valuable what we learned from Giuseppe about life on the Salina today -- its people, its schools, the year-round challenges and pleasures of life on this extraordinary island. Giuseppe is knowledgeable, trust-worthy, energetic, and generous, and he provides (for a very modest fee) the finest introduction to Salina that any visitor could wish for.
