Get an up-close look at the charms and treasures of the Yucatán on this memorable day of exploration. You can learn about the vast archeological site of Chichén Itzá, cool off with a dip in a serene cenote, and snap colorful photos in colonial Valladolid, complete with a tasty lunch and a spacious coach ride between each stop.

You start the day with a visit to Cenote Hubiku, a cavernous freshwater pool in a light-filled limestone cave, and dive in for a surreal swim. Next, you can tuck into a lunch of classic Maya dishes including an open bar at the restaurant.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site features excavated ruins and well-preserved temples, including the iconic Pyramid of Kukulcan and the Great Ball Court, some of the grandest and best-preserved structures of their kind.
Your final stop is in the quiet city of Valladolid, where the colonial-era pastel walls of shops and restaurants offer a colorful backdrop for photos before the return trip that brings your tour to a close.

Our guide Navarro got mad that some people on the bus wanted to sleep instead of listening to him frequently sermonize off topic. Be prepared for extended sales pitches both on the bus and at both the Hubiku Cenote and at Chichén Itzá. When you arrive at Hubiku, skip the sales pitch and head directly to the cenote. You might get a good ten minutes of having the cenote to yourself. Noticing all the bat guano falling into the cenote, we decided to skip swimming in it.

At Chichén Itzá Navarro wasted the first 20 minutes going over the Mayan Calendar (which should have been on the bus) and it turned out it was all designed show off the wares of one sales booth. That left us 20 rushed minutes to get photos once he was done showing us the rest of the monument.

We brought a hiking umbrella for the sun, drinks and snacks, sunscreen, hats and sunglasses which were all very helpful. We didn’t use the hotel towels, swimwear, waterproof cellphone holder and water shoes as we skipped swimming in the cenote. We should have brought bug spray and maybe some light ponchos. Don’t forget to bring cash for tips.

Our trip was fantastic! Pick up is a van that takes you to your charter bus. First stop is a cenote followed by a great lunch. Next Chichen Itza which beware is a hot stop. Bring sunscreen. Very informative. Last, a small town where we snacked on Mexican Crepes, Marquesitas. Very delicious. This trip is about 11 hours total but well planned and worth it!

A varied round trip with cooling off in a cenote, the absolute highlight Chichén Itzá, and the ad-on Valladolid. Swimming in Hubiku was a great experience. The restaurant and bar that goes with it was amazingly good. A visit to Chichén Itzá is a must for every visit to Yucatan. It was damn hot though. So definitely remember sun protection, appropriate clothing and water. You could have saved yourself the visit to Valladolid.

Of course the tour takes you past lots of stalls, everything is designed for tourism. And of course the people there want to sell you something, after all they earn their living from it. But in the end it's still up to you whether you invest a few dollars or pesos in souvenirs. So just ignore it and soak up the impressions, then it's a top tour!

Big praise to the excellent tour guide Sergio!

Navarro the tour guide was excellent. He added so much to the whole day. It's deathly hot in all 3 places but the Chichén Itza tour lasts quite a while and I thought I may pass out a few times. The food was fine but the staff were very pushy about getting tips and the amount of people trying to sell you things at Chichén Itza is disgraceful. All in all well worth the 14 hour day but be prepared!

A great experience visiting a wonder of the world. Our guide Samuel was very knowledgeable and kept us on time and gave great direction on the major things to see. Guiermo our driver was safe and speedy. I really liked it was a small group. The cenote was clear and cool and we had a great time jumping in! The food at lunch was delicious, grilled chicken, rice and beans, lime soup, slow cooked pork, and super fresh tomatoe salad.

It's a long way to Chichen Itza from Riviera Maya, but when the description states pick up is 0730 you think, that's okay. They then tell you it's 0830 and finally arrive at 0900. They then change bus. After that, the guide hard sells his bug spray for $15USD for a small citronella, saying you can only use a natural product and it's essential to spray immediately at the cenote. Nowhere did it say that, and there were no bugs! Then the tequila houses they recommend are selling for $280CAD for a bottle! So, bottom line, go to Chichen Itza, it's well worth it, but be very wary which operator you choose.
