Move on with the tour and reach Circus Maximus , the largest stadium in Ancient Rome, built for chariot races. Imagine to be taking part of one of the Circus Maximus chariot races competitions in which participants tried to complete seven laps of the Circus Maximus. The competitors, mounted in small chariots drawn by horses, gambled much more than their prestige or large prizes in the races, since many of them were slaves fighting for their liberty.
2. Palatine Hill
The Palatine Hill is one of the Seven Hills of Rome and it is one of the most ancient parts of the city as it stands right above the Roman Forum and upon the Circus Maximus.
3. Piazza del Campidoglio
Of course once that you will have visited the Circus Maximus, you cannot miss the chance to admire the Campidoglio ( = Capitoline Hill) by night! It is inevitable that you will be charmed by the stunning panoramas of Roman Forum from there.
4. Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II

Great tour! Alex was very friendly (even had pastries for us!). He gave info and took pictures. We had time to enjoy every stop a long the way and take pictures during the golden hour!

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very accommodating to our needs. He was. was willing to stop wherever we requested. He gave us time to get out and take pictures and explore areas in close proximity to our stops. Excellent tour and we highly recommend this tour!!!

Paolo did a fantastic job customizing our tour. We had already seen certain sights like the fountain of Trevi so he took us to the places we had not seen like the Pantheon and Gianicolo. He was very informed and told us great stories about the history of places. Our time with Paolo felt more like visiting the city with a friend vs a structured tour. We had an exceptional time!

Claudio was a fantastic tour guide on this private tour for my wife and I. His communication with us was great and he was at our hotel about 10 minutes before our scheduled time. His vehicle was very clean, well-kept and very comfortable. Claudio inquired as to what we had already visited and then tailored our trip so as to avoid anything we had already been to.

As he drove to each site, Claudio was personable and discussed various interesting things about the area in general. At each of the locations, he found very close parking; walked up to the site and then told us where he would be when we were finished. He also told us which areas were overpriced and which areas would be better in terms value.

We viewed the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Anagnessi (sp?) Square, Circus Maximus remains, and several of the famous churches (we had already toured the Coliseum and surrounding area so he avoided those - though they would normally have been on the tour).

We were very pleased both with the tour and with Claudio and would highly recommend both!

We had an amazing time and we are so grateful for our wonderful driver - Paolo. Paolo was a lifesaver when we had some issues after arriving at the airport. He was very kind and accommodating. We had a comfortable and roomy vehicle and Paolo provided us with cold bottled water. We only had a short time in Rome and Paolo took us to all the best places. One of my favorites was a beautiful church. He made a great photographer and gave us time to take our own. It was worth the money for this tour as we only had a short time in Rome before our trip to Sicily. Big thanks to Paolo - we recommend him and this tour. Grazie!!!!!

This tour far exceeded our expectations. Paolo went above and beyond to make it a true Roman experience. His calm demeanor makes you feel comfortable and he very knowledgeable. An amazing way to see Rome in a night. A must do when you are in Rome.
