Discover all the best Frascati has to offer from its charming city center, beautiful views and vineyards, an historic family-run winery, and fresh local cuisine. This half-day tour from Rome will stimulate your senses and rejuvenate your spirit. Frascati is an easy 25 minute train ride from Rome and is part of the Castelli Romani or ‘Roman Castles. Things move at a slower pace in Frascati. Nowhere is this fact better represented than in the the way food is produced and prepared. Porchetta is cooked in a wood burning oven for over 8 hours. The olive oil is extra virgin and cold pressed. The pasta is all hand-made. Our wine is still made with ancient techniques first used by the Romans. Here, the local baker, winemaker, tavern owner, and restaurant owner all value organic and locally sourced products. Not because its trendy, but because it’s tradition!

We had a wonderful tour, Paula was very knowledgeable and the wine was supreme! We got to go to a market in town and had a tour of the area with more wine and panchetta, also had lunch at a lovely tavern. Food was phenomenal!!

One of our favorite days on our trip! The wine tour was perfect, with getting to see the vineyards, cellar with a wine tasting, and a delicious wine tasting afterwards. The vineyard had amazing views and great hospitality. Afterwards the tour of Frascati was amazing learning some of the history of the town along with two delicious food stops. The bakery and porchetta were amazing and the stop for lunch was delicious. Daniella was a wonderful tour guide and so full of happiness!

The entire tour was excellent. Paola's were perfect and knowledgeable. They brought the wine and the City to life. Funny, kept it moving and answered all questions. Felt like the farm was visiting a friend including Bear the dog greeting us. The food was plentiful and the vino was amazing and also plentiful. Highly recommend this tour!

Amazing experience! Easy train to Frascati and were met right by the station and taken to a local family owned vineyard. We learned so much about the process of winemaking and historical information as well. We were unable to fit in time in the Tuscan region and wanted an Italian wine experience while based out of Rome and this met all our expectations. Walking through the vineyards with the picturesque view of Rome below was a highlight of this tour. The tour of Frascati and local lunch was great as well- perfect way to spend a day!

The Frascati half-day wine tour was both tasty and informative. We learned about the government’s role in grape growing and wine making. We tasted 3 wines and the host offered a couple food pairings. Then we were off to the city center for a walking tour and lunch (and more wine!) yummy we did have to spend extra time in Frascati because lunch ran over and we missed the 2pm train (next wasn’t for a couple more hours). Also, they were child friendly.

We had a fabulous day. Met at Frascati station by an air conditioned van on a very hot day. We were taken to the winery and the tour was wonderful. So informative and interesting. Wandered around the vines and through the almost 2000 year old cellar , finishing off with some tastings out under the trees. It could not have been better.
We were then whisked away to the town for a short walking tour that took in some house wine and a small taste of porchetta panini - sensational. Before being led to the restaurant where we spent a lazy few hours over lunch with the group.
Back to the station via a gelatariea and then back to Rome.
All in all an awesome day and we highly recommend it.

I am disappointed to write a review about a wine tour and dinner in the sunset that did not meet our expectations. The description clearly stated that dinner was included, and I even sent an email to inquire about this beforehand, but unfortunately, this promise was not fulfilled. Instead, we were provided with a small apertivo at a restaurant located amidst buildings, completely devoid of the picturesque sunset and the anticipated view as depicted in the promotional pictures. I advise future participants to take note of this discrepancy.

Moreover, not only were we left without dinner during the tour, but we also had to search for an alternative dining option afterwards, as well as find a suitable location to enjoy the anticipated view. It was evident that the other members of the group shared the same dissatisfaction, and we all felt hungry when we departed from the tour.

Furthermore, contrary to what was mentioned in the description, we were not provided with any olive oil tasting experience and not any pizza. However, I must acknowledge that the wine tour itself was enjoyable, and Paula, our guide, did an excellent job. Additionally, our tour guide, Max, was exceptionally friendly throughout the experience.

Overall, while the wine tour portion of the event was satisfactory, the lack of the promised dinner and missing olive oil tasting left much to be desired. It is my hope that the organizers rectify these issues to ensure a more accurate representation of the tour and a better overall experience for future participants.

My daughter highly recommended the Frascati wine tour because she enjoyed it with her friends 4 years ago during her fall semester in Rome. We loved that it was a short train ride to another cute town in Italy. We enjoyed the Frascati winery led by Paola and touring the vineyards and underground caves. I am not much of a white wine drinker, but I loved the taste of Frascati wine because it was refreshing, not too sweet, and surprisingly. dry. After the tour, we took a walk in the town of Frascati led by Max and saw the most incredible views of Frascati and Rome. Afterwards, we visited a bakery and then we were treated to a delicious lunch of pasta at an Italian restaurant.
