We found another very unique experience, this time on Viator. It’s called “Sunset with BBQ Jeep Excursions” and we really loved it! Our terrific host/driver/cook Emanuele picked us up right on time and we headed up the mountain to the Madonie Regional Natural Park on a bumpy and scenic ride to the rustic chalet. There we met his two extremely happy dogs Rain and Ozzie. Emmanuel shared stories, prepared our appetizers, and cooked our incredible local pork (bacon, chop, and sausage). It was barbecued perfectly and tasted incredible. We socialized for hours and had a nighttime ride back down to town, avoiding the cows and wild pigs along the way. Special thanks to Emanuele for a very extraordinary evening!

We were fortunate to be the only 2 people to the tour the day we went so Emanuele could give us a one-on-one experience. I'm sure he would be equally good with a group. It's quite a ride up the mountain but well worth the trip. BBQ on a wood fire was excellent, with wine, etc. What a tour!

Emanuele was a terrific host for the evening. From the prompt hotel pick up to cooking and serving us dinner with a smile, he truly loves entertaining and hosting. We had a relaxing evening driving the coast of Sicily talking about the culture and of course the views from 500m up a mountain! Very nice time. Emanuele is a gentlemen. We suggest this excursion for a simple quiet evening.

Good communication, pickup on time. An adventurous off road trip, Emanuel tells all about nature and the animals , he is a true nature lover with a passion for food like many Italians😉🇮🇹. Later we had a great BBQ , anti pasti and drinks outside the cabin in the mountains arranged by Vincenzo and Emanuel.
We also love his two dogs Rain and Ozzie.

Very expensive for what it is
Jeep ride up mountain, no sunset unfortunately due to low clouds.
Then bbq - local meats and salad with wine.
There were just 7 of us there so be prepared to socialise with the other guests as you are sat at the one table.
Staff friendly and efficient with the food preparation.
Nice but really expensive - I think this should have been £50 and £76 per person!
If you do this trip, definitely take bug spray

What a view! I definitely recommend this tour if you don't want to miss a breathtaking sunset on Cefalù from Motta d'Affermo and the view on the Eolian archipelago. The expertise and friendliness of Emanuele and the driver makes it effortless to explore the local flora and fauna and enjoy a tasty BBQ with local products and wine, while still making new memories with your plus one(s).

This was the best night we’ve had so far in Sicily! The whole experience felt very authentic and unique, hosted by the lovely Emmanuel who made us feel very welcome and had lots of info to share about the area. Dinner was delicious pork and fresh tomato salad enjoyed with red wine. The chalet property in the mountains was beautiful and secluded in the national park and made it feel like a true Sicilian experience. We can’t wait to return to Sicily and experience more of Emmanuel’s excursions!! Thanks so much for the awesome night

It was a beautiful evening, the most impressive and beautiful of our vacation. Emanuele picked us up in Cefalù and we drove along the coast to the steep off-road roads leading to the incredible viewpoint. The view there is simply: WOW, pure nature. Afterwards we were allowed to spoil ourselves with antipasti and wine in his chalet. Finally, we had a freshly grilled fish, personally prepared by Emanuele. We are already looking forward to booking more activities with him in the future.

Emanuele and Carlo picked us up in Cefalu and we drove down the coastal highway and then up the steep roads to the top lookout for great views of the area and sunset. Then on the a beautiful cabin for beverages, appetizers and a fantastic barbecue over open flames. It was a perfect excursion and our hosts treated us like best friends. I highly recommend this tour.
