jaisalmer city is a very ancient city from 12th centuary.The tour will start from the jaisalmer fort through narrow allies from old city .visiting palace ,jain temples and the beautifull ancient mansions called nathmal haveli and patwon ki haveli.

1. Jaisalmer Fort
Jaisalmer Fort is the second oldest fort in Rajasthan, built in 1156 AD by the Rajput Rawal (ruler) Jaisal from whom it derives its name, and stood at the crossroads of important trade routes (including the ancient Silk road)The fort has palace,jain temples,city view.its a living fort which has 4000 inhabitants .lots of houses ,hotels,restaurants.
2. Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli
Nathmal ki Haveli, Jaisalmer is a late 19th century architecture that was once used to be the Prime Minister's house. It is famous for its extraordinary architecture and is considered to be the best in Jaisalmer. Apparently, there is an interesting story behind it. The grandeur structure is hard work of two brothers, Hathi and Lullu, who were jewellers and not architect. They both started with different facets of the building simultaneously. As a result, the left and right wing of the building is same but not identical. The scriptures made on the Haveli were never seen by the architect brothers in real life and were engraved by descriptions from the people who had seen it.
3. Kothari's Patwaon-Ki-Haveli
The merchants of Jaisalmer built some of the most ornate residences ever. Patwon Ki Haveli is made of Jaisalmer sandstone, these are adorned with jaalis and elaborate façades. The most skilful stonework is done on the outside, since they were a show of wealth more than anything else. The biggest and the most ornate of the havelis is the Patwon-ki-Haveli, a set of five houses adjacent to each other, built by five Jain brothers in the first half of the 19th century. These were the five sons of Guman Chand, a trader in textiles and precious metals.

Harish is a great guy and guide. Warm and welcoming. He showed us the best spots in Jaiselmer accompanied with concise and interesting stories. He also made sure that we had a smooth walk through the city and ford. We enjoyed our tour with him and learned a lot about the wonderful heritage that Jaiselmer has to offer.

Guide did not provide much information during the tour. We passed by other tour groups and could hear other tour guides mentioning interesting facts and trivia. The guide did not come with us inside the temples. Just gave some info outside the temple and gave pointers on what to see inside the temple. The tour did not include the fort museum tour. We had to pay for a museum tour guide the next day. Viator 's tour description is misleading as it does not clearly state whether the museum tour is included or not.

We don't even know where to begin. This was a delightful experience from start to finish. Focusing on the content of the tour, we‘ve explored the heart of the golden city, mansions and the fort with all its facets like temples and true handcraft shops. The history of Jaisalmer is pretty unique and we fell in love with it right away.

This tour with Harish feels more like exploring a new city with an old friend. We had heartfelt conversations, great food, talked about the people in Jaisalmer and India holistically. This is his home town and anything you would like to do outside of the set curriculum he was more than happy to accommodate. For example, one of us wanted a local haircut and he weaved it into the day effortlessly and navigated the whole experience for us. Patient, kind, and present, the day with Harish spent walking through the city of Jaisalmer is not one we will forget! Thank you Harish. You‘ll stay in our hearts. Forever and beyond. Delighted.
