Feel the anticipation of exploring a new place, of swimming in a river of pure water born at the peak of the same mountain you are. Our guide will escort you on a memorable journey where you will delight in your surroundings, see beautiful landmarks, take refreshing dips in the streams, and get to enjoy this Nature Walk.
Our tour guide will meet you at your hotel or location, at the previously accorded pickup time (contact us for confirmation). From there, we will head east through the coastal road boarding the beautiful beaches in the town of Loíza. Exposition regarding our Puerto Rican heritage, and live commentary and interpretation of your surroundings can be given in both English and Spanish throughout the journey. After this time, we head back to your lodgings.

The tour guide was informative, friendly & had a good sense of humor. The tour is great for the non-hiker. The bus brought us to the observation deck, which had amazing views; then over to the waterfall for some photos; then off to the river. The water was great and the scenery was beautiful. After, we went to the beach area to eat and/or take a dip in the ocean. It was an enjoyable trip & perfect for those who don’t want to hike.

Almost all the things were closed. Definitely not worth the $150 I paid for two people. You can tour the park for under $10 which is what we should have done. The tour guide was awesome though. Did enjoy talking to him.

The view from the Observation Tower at La Coca Falls was a real highlight. We also enjoyed the river and climbing on the boulders. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable and had a good sense of humor. We were surprised and disappointed that there was no hiking on this tour. We knew it was not the challenging tour with the hike to the water slides, but in previous trips to El Yunque, we did do some hiking.
After El Yunque we went to Luquillo to swim, shop and eat at the mile-long food trucks. The shops are so-so, but the food and the beach are delightful. The bay is calm and warm and I didn't want to leave. Do wear beach shoes, however, because there are lots of big, sharp rocks in the water.

The trip gave me a chance to see more of the area than I would have otherwise. The guide, Rafael, educated without overwhelming us. He was also safety-focused and efficient, which I appreciated.

We lucked into some sunny weather so I got some good photos.

My favorite part were the kioscos. I found a great piña colada and fantastic new foods to try.

The loss of a star was for problems in communication, not the guide’s fault. I asked the company several times if water would be provided. It was like pulling teeth to get an answer (no). Then I wasn’t told until about 40 minutes before the tour started that there are no restrooms in El Yunque, so none for about 4 hours.

The park service should provide restrooms, and the tour company should make this restriction clear up front. Some people have medical needs. I managed, but I am sure there are others who can’t.

Rafael was a wonderful tour guide - he was funny, and very knowledgeable about the rainforest and Puerto Rican history. We had family members ranging in age from 15-85 and they all enjoyed it. This tour that doesn’t include any hiking; the most active part of the trip was the river stop, where you could scramble the rocks and swim in the river or choose to enjoy from the shore. You will travel on an air conditioned bus to a few stops in the forest, then on to Luquillo Beach and kiosks, where you find tons of local food. The beach was the last stop, and Rafael drops you off for about 2 hours. There are plenty of other hikes/tours for an adrenaline rush and hiking, but if you need something the elders can enjoy this is it!

They are still recovering from the hurricanes so many of the trails are closed due to mudslides, but what I saw was very beautiful and well maintained.
