Visiting Kolocep by kayak offers paddlers an intimate view of simple island life. We did 2 day tours with Adriatic Kayak tours with Kayak guide Mislav.
Mislav was professional, friendly and went out of his way to ensure we had 2 great days of kayaking. "if you Kayak with him, make sure he shows you his amazing parkour skills"
I would highly recommend both trips. Kolocep and Lopud/Sipan. Beautiful scenery, water and caves.

Sea Kayaking with Mislav from Adriatic Kayak Adventures was one of the highlights of our trip to Dubrovnik. Mislav led a relaxing and refreshing adventure as we explored various caves and stopped at a beach to swim (and cool off!) in the beautiful Adriatic. My husband even did an exhilarating cliff jump. Mislav took lots of pictures and videos for us so that we could thoroughly just relax and enjoy the afternoon.

I booked a tour directly through Adriatic Kayak Tours as it was recommended in my lonely planet guide and it was by far the highlight of my trip to Croatia. Mislav was a wonderful teacher and guide, I did the full-day tour of Kolocep island, snorkeling, and cliff jumping in and around the blue cave and then getting the *best* sea bream I have ever had on Kolocep island. I had never kayaked before but Mislav's instructions were clear and he was incredibly helpful. I would say it is more strenuous than a moderately physical activity as we were paddling for several hours but the views and experiences were well worth it for me. Next time I come back to Dubrovnik I'll be taking another Kayak tour with Adriatic, I had such a wonderful day.

What an amazing day. Kayak, snorkelling, swimming, hiking and even some cliff jumping. It was great to see the Blue Cave, but the rest of the day adventure surpassed our expectations. Our host was Mislav who was great and really went out of his way to make the tour special and to ensure we had enough photos to celebrate a highlight in our visit. Highly recommended for a great escape out of the hustle of the city

A 5 star review for a tour we didn’t even get to take…. But why?
The tour operator puts the customer first and communicates fantastically.
We received a message two days before the tour saying the weather forecast looked sketchy but that they would monitor and keep us in the loop. They even gave a specific time on the morning of the tour at which they would make a final call (which they did precisely)
This allowed us to book onto another tour (sunset kayak round the city walls) at the last minute. We all have too few holidays at our disposal so a company that helps you maximise your time is top notch in my book.
The tour was subsequently cancelled due to weather and refunded promptly and automatically.

Like going on a day trip with your friend. Our guide was very nice and personable. However, the description of the tour needs to change so that it includes the distance/ time that the group will be expected to kayak as there were several in our group that weren't up to the task leaving our guide to literally pull them. Good thing he is so strong because he was pulling 2 kayaks with 4 people behind him. Time management needs to improve, the tour ended at least 1.5 hours late. In which we had to pay for our own transportation to make our next reservation as we leaf the sit early. The snorkels never came out ,so I am not sure when we were supposed to do that. Be sure to eat a good breakfast and bring snacks because the fist location is beautiful but has no food options. Also be prepared to play crew at the end of the tour. You are expected to rinse the salt water off of everything, hang it, pump the water out of the kayaks, and carry them up the stairs to the storage area.

We did the Zaton Bay to Kolocep Island tour in late May, with Ivan as our kayak guide. We met at the AKT office in Dubrovnik which is very convenient to get to, and then we had a quick drive to Zaton Bay.
Although the sea wasn't the calmest and we had to paddle through some waves, we had such a great time on this full-day tour and Ivan was great at knowing the best places to go to with the sea conditions we had. As well as lots of paddling, we swam in the beautiful sea, walked around Kolocep island after a delicious lunch by the beach. As the sea was quite rough we didn't manage to visit the Blue Cave, but Ivan found a couple of other spots around the island for us to paddle into and take a look - he was very knowledgeable on the sea and islands and pointed out everything there was to see on our trip.
I cannot say enough good things about this tour and highly recommend Adriatic Kayak Tours! Everyone in the office and the guides were extremely friendly and accommodating to us and we hope to come back again to do another one of the tours!

Started at Zaton and kayaked to the blue caves( about 1h 30 min of kayaking), snorkled and then had a great lunch at a family owned restaurant on Kolocep island- delicious fish and chips. Next we did small hike to see the views of the island then kayaked back to Zaton exploring the cliffs and terrain from our kayaks.
Definitely a must if visiting Dubrovnik and love a sporty, outdoor adventure.
We kayaked for a total of 13km so not for the faint hearted.
Great guide and beautiful scenery. Pack water,sunglasses and spf.

We had an amazing kayak tour to Kolocep with Ivan! His knowledge and professionalism were outstanding, and his attention to detail was very impressive. While he was clearly focused on safety, his warmth, excitement for his job, and knowledge of both the land and sea were excellent. Ivan also made a point of asking about our specific interests, and then tailored the day to make it even more special. We have traveled a great deal, and this was one of our favorite experiences ever. On a scale of 1 to 5, we would definitely give it a 6!
