Siem Reap: Cambodian Street Food Tours

Had some wonderful Khmer food. Mr. So brought us to legit places where I would never find on my own. What was even more spectacular was hearing stories of the life of Mr. So. He shared about his upbringing, move to Siem Reap, becoming a monk, and was very welcoming to all my questions food and non-food related.

Youk (January) was an amazing amazing amazing tour guide. Not only did he take us to the best, authentic tasty restaurants but we have meaningful conversation and learned so much about Cambodia, the history and lifestyle. I would absolutely say this night was my favorite thing my mom and I did on our trip. He is incredible!!

Mr August was a great conversationalist and great company. The conversation was wide ranging and I felt I learned a lot about the culture and not just the food! We ate SO MUCH delicious food and was 'game' enough to try to cricket, worm, water beetle and Frog! Thankfully the taste was covered by some lovely sweets!

My wife and I loved this tour! We were picked up at our hotel exactly on time. We rode the tuktuk from restaurant to restaurant, and were told details about the food, culture, and history of Cambodia. It was a very interesting, detailed tour. Our guide, Jan, and his colleagues were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed all of the food and were excited (and a bit nervous) to try crickets and silk worms for the first time. We were also supplied with cold, bottled water on many occasions during the night, which helped with the hot weather. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone who wants to visit and try delicious food, learn something new, and see a part of Siem Reap they may never see on their own.

This experience was excellent.
All organised perfecty. The guide Hong was funny, full of energy and a real story teller. Food was amazing and, even if not my favourite main dish, the insect testing was a curios experience!! We definitely recommend Hong and this tour. Enjoy guys.

We did this tour with Youk Makara and had a great time. The food was delicious and we had the opportunity to try several unique dishes that we had never had before (despite having spent the past couple of weeks in Southeast Asia!). Come hungry as you will be given plenty of delicious food!

The guide was very helpful in describing both the dishes (and how to best prepare them) as well as giving some of the history of the establishments that we were taken to.

This was an exceptional tour! My tour guide Saroun was AWESOME! He was so funny and friendly and very knowledgeable! Another plus was the food we tried, soo good and you definitely visit local non tourist spots which was amazing! I had a great time and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun time with good food!

Sareik was really nice since the beginning, all the places he took us were delicious, in most of them we were the only tourist there.
He told us all about the food, but also knew a lot about Cambodia history. We had a great time chatting with him. If you’re thinking about taking this tour, just do it, you won’t regret it.
