French Quarter Boozy Brunch Crawl in New Orleans

We were on the tour with DJ Hayes. He was one of the worst tour guides we've had, and we've travelled all over the world. The idea of the tour seems to be to get you drunk, so you won't notice how bad the guide is. The instructions say to not eat anything before the tour, and then when you show up for the tour, they give you a drink. No food, just a drink. You don't get any food until about an hour into the tour. The tour makes a small circle in the French Quarter and then returns to the first place for food. The food is small bites that are not very filling. DJ didn't tell us what the protein was b/c he wanted to get people to try gator without telling us beforehand. All of the food was fried and of very low quality.

This is not a crawl at all. We stopped at the same place twice, and then one other place.

In addition, a couple was a little late. When they called DJ, he made fun of their call, saying "sure, they said they're around the corner, yeah, right, people always lie about how far away they are, . . . ". Then he griped about the couple until they arrived. He also indicated that he was intentionally going to give them fewer drinks b/c they were a few minutes late.

It was a delicious start at Bon’s where we sampled local food and enjoyed a unique Hurricane while learning the history of the food and drink of New Orleans from our wonderful guide Scott. Started a walk around the French Quarter with Mimosas in hand to hear more about several of the local establishments. Ended the tour with a really good frozen Irish coffee and pictures of Jackson Square. We had a really nice time and Scott did a great tour for our group.

DJ was very knowledgeable about the city and food scene and he was super fun to hangouts with for several hours!

Our tour guide DJ was wonderful. He was honest and real. The stops where great. I would have thought to go to some of the places.

We had an absolute BLAST with DJ! My husband is a VERY picky eater and DJ was able to get my husband to eat alligator bites and so much more. We learned so much and got to taste some amazing dishes. We highly recommend this tour.

This was a waste of money got drinks from 2 places and all food was ate at the one place. Could have done this one my own so bummed

Great fun walking tour with interesting food and drinks! DJ was excellent tour “guru”, just don’t call him a guide 😂. Very knowledgeable about food history and cultures - and can stitch together the story for you.

Scott was a great tour guide and the food was delicious! Delicious drinks! Scott was very knowledgeable and gave amazing recommendations for the remainder of our visit!

Scott was great. My wife and I have been coming to New Orleans to visit for years and usually pick a tour to do on each trip. This one was well worth it! Scott was informative, gave great tips on where to go and made sure everyone was having fun. Highly recommend.
