Leave the city behind and enjoy a tour to a beautiful red rock private canyon for campfire, s'mores and stars. We have a large herd of beautiful Texas Longhorns to visit. We are a dark sky destination and the perfect location for star gazing with the old movie fort as a back drop. Good friends and family around the campfire is my idea of a great night out. We make the best homemade marshmallows around.

The owners of The Ranch were very nice and hospitable. We got to see Longhorns, have s'mores, listen to Tribal Indian songs from a local Native, and The Owners treated us very kindly.

We never imagined the evening to be as fun and informative as it was! We feel like members of the family after hours of sharing stories and laughs around the campfire. Amazing views, walking around through dozens of longhorn cattle, and the best s’mores ever. Norris and his father are great to spend time with, and we all give this the highest recommendation we can give. Treat yourselves and do this!

My son and I are really enjoyed this trip. He is nine years old and loves stargazing. He enjoyed making And listening to the stories of the local history. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was very engaging, especially with the kids.

The family who runs this is super nice and accommodating. The views were spectacular and our girls really enjoyed the S’mores. I would highly recommend this experience!

Cowboy John was fabulous! It was an evening to remember. The scenery, his knowledge, his willingness to accommodate, definitely a highlight of our trip.

We rode in a military truck out to the ranch, saw a couple longhorn from a distance and then told about all the lovely longhorn that we could pet if they weren’t at the sunflower hill. Gotta respect the sunflower craving! The stories went a little long in the tooth prob to make up for the cloudy night. Marshmallows were yummy!

Cowboy John did a great job entertaining us on a very cloudy night ! I loved the trip out to the field in the military truck (family less fussed), the cows were up very close but it felt safe and controlled, loads of stories and anecdotes

We knew we wouldn’t see any stars in the sky, but our host Cowboy John proved to be the real star. Without spoiling the whole thing, you will get a humvee ride, a meet and greet with dozen of longhorn cattle, and delicious s’mores at a movie set fort seen in dozens of movies throughout the decades. And if you’re luckier than us, thousands of nighttime stars. Cowboy John is a master storyteller, and he kept us entertained for the duration. If you enjoy a relaxing out of the ordinary evening, don’t miss this experience!
