We were able to see the only and real castle of Vlad the Impaler and hear an interesting story behind it. On the way to Transfagarasan Mountain we saw 20 or something bears, many with cubs, strolling down the road or in the forest near it. This was amazing. We also Vidraru Dam and a few high waterfalls. Then we stopped at the top of the pass and were rewarded with beautiful views on all sides, we could stroll in immaculate natural environment on the wild mountainous terrain at approx.. 2000 m altitude surrounded by mighty mountain peaks. The guide was cool, helpful and professional.

This is a great tour to take. I went solo and was anxious as to what that would be like but it was the perfect tour for travelling alone or with friends. Small numbers allow you to engage and meet new people which I loved. Seeing bears in their natural environment was wonderful, the little cubs were adorable. The “top gear” road is an immense sight. Sebastian is a great host, funny, knowledgeable and a great storyteller.

Terrific day trip and one of the highlights of our vacation in Bucharest. Despite all the reviews, we were a bit skeptical about actually seeing bears, but we ended up seeing LOADS of them (and bear cubs!). The bears are so used to people, they just chill by the road and don't mind having their picture taken (from a safe distance). Before the trip we were also a bit concerned about the roads, since some of us are afraid of heights and others can get car sick. Thankfully, our driver made us feel safe and we were able to simply enjoy the ride, which was very, very beautiful. When you reach the mountain top you get some time to walk around, grab something to eat at the food stalls or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery. Throughout the trip we got to learn from our driver and guide about Romanian culture and history and the truth about Dracula and his castle. Overall, the trip is 10/10. My only small comment is that it would have be useful if the driver had used a microphone since it was sometimes difficult to hear what he was saying from the back of the minivan.

Awesome trip, we saw 14 bears out that 4 cubs. The drive is worth your time. Special shoutout for Sebastian he was a great guide smart and funny guy. I would love to do it again

Great service and tour guide(we had Mat), that knew a lot not just about the tour but overall.
We were promised to see 5 bears but saw 14, and Mat always made sure we got the best seats to see the bears and always made sure we were done watching and taking photos before continuing the journey.
We rushed to get to the mountain top to make sure to beat the traffic up there, the reasoning for that is the limited amount of parking space up there, once it's full it's one car out and one car in, and when we were done up there the line to get a spot was a few kilometers long.
For me this tour was the peak of the whole trip with everything you get to see and experience.
I would definitely recommend this as their communication before and during the trip was also very good making it easy to follow on when and where to meet etc.

I recommend this tour to everybody visiting Romania, it's definitely worth it!

It was my first tour in romania was sensational, my guide was Sebastian, I couldn't have had better luck, Sebastian is an excellent guide, with a lot of preparation for his work, in addition to being super friendly, attentive and good humored. He gave me all the assistance I needed. I highly recommend the tour and to everyone to have the luck to be guided by Sebastian. Thank you very much Sebastian.

I saw 23 bears (including 7 baby bears!), the photos don't do it justice. Sebastian was an awesome guide, very funny, gave a nice amount of historical context for several of the sites we either stopped at or passed by. Be prepared for a long day of driving, but to be awed by the natural sites of the Romanian mountains.
