WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Panama City
We pick-up all travelers on your hotel, hotels, or apartments in Panama City. Be aware of the communication from our guide the day before the tour to coordinate meeting points and pick-up times.

This is where we park our van and start the walking tour. Our guide will give you a brief explanation of what awaits us on this light hike. You will be given your flashlight and a bottle of water to start our ascent to the top of the highest point in the city.
3. Ancon Hill
Ancon Hill is a nature reserve of wildlife. You will make a walk of about 30 minutes to the top of the Hill. The walk is quite easy and moderate. The road is paved, and it is not necessary to be in perfect physical condition, since the walk is very entertaining and at that time of the morning, the weather remains very fresh and pleasant. During the walk you can see armadillos, sloths, anteaters, dendrobates auratus frogs and you can also watch a lot of birds, such as toucans and parrots among many more. When you reach the top of Ancón hill, while you relax and prepare for the show that nature will offer you, your friendly tour guide will prepare a light breakfast with fruits of the season and juice, while you enjoy and take the best pictures of the city of Panama.

Here we will find ourselves right in front of the access door of what was considered the largest military shelter or bunker built by the United States of America outside its territory during the Second World War.

Get to know the oldest Corotú Tree in this place as well as one of the impressive common parasitic plants of the tropical forests known commonly as the stranglers

We reached the top! While the guide prepares a refreshing snack with tropical fruits, you can take amazing pictures of the city of Panama. After a snack, it's time to enjoy the great wildlife such as toucans, sloths and we will be able to see some specimens of the Geoffrey tamarin monkey on the way down the hill.

Superb! Juan Carlos is truly knowledgeable. Enjoyed learning from him. Pick up was on time. Would highly recommend this tour. Would not have had the same experience visiting the hill on our own with a great tour guide.

Our Tour Guide, Juan Carlos, was absolutely fantastic. He had an amazing wealth of knowledge that he shared with us during the tour. It would have been a completely different (less enjoyable) experience without having him to explain things and point out the animals and aspects of the topography.

This was an exceptional experience. Learning the history of Anton Hill and its significance to Panamanians provided a wonderful backdrop for the tour. Juan Carlos, our guide, offered insights into the Hill’s intertwined connection to the Panama Canal and to the relationship between Panama and the US.

But, history was accompanied by the beautiful scenic views of the city and canal during the climb up and atop the hill. Along the way, we stopped to discover the native flora and fauna from tree varieties to frogs, toucans, and sloths. We made our way up and down the hill at a comfortable pace with some snacks along the way. A totally enjoyable adventure!

This was an amazing tour. Juan was so knowledgeable and I learned a lot. We also saw a ton of wildlife - monkeys, sloths, Tucans, and more.

Juan Carlos was an incredible guide, knowledgeable and unbelievably quick to capture amazing wildlife in his telescope. We saw a wide variety of animals and birds and learned a lot of history, geography and animal facts. A perfect amount of time—felt like we had really accomplished a lot in three hours!

We enjoyed the whole tour, but climbing Ancon Hill when hardly anyone else was there felt magical. Juan Carlos was awesomely well-informed about Panamanian wildlife and history, including Canal history, and it was great talking with him all morning. The views from the top of the hill were unforgettable, as were the toucans on top of a nearby tree eating and calling to one another!

Nice walk, great view, you can take an Uber which brings you to the entrance point, we had luck and saw monkeys and a sloth 🍀👍

Watching the sunrise over the tropical forest is one of the best excursions that we booked during our trip. Our tour guy was very informative very nice very personable. I loved everything about the things we were able to see monkeys sloths,and parrots and iguanas. gave us an awesome experience.

This tour was truly exceptional, the best I've ever experienced - and I've done quite a few. It turned out to be a private tour, which was a pleasant surprise, as no one else had signed up. I am glad they didn't cancel it since it was only me. My guide, Juan Carlos, was an absolute gem – he's such a lovely person and incredibly knowledgeable about Panama, there wasn't a single question about Panama he couldn't answer, and he made everything clear and easy to understand. His enthusiasm for the job was palpable, and he had an extraordinary talent for spotting wildlife like sloths, monkeys, and birds. With binoculars, a telescope, and a laser pen, he made sure I didn't miss a thing. The hike wasn't too strenuous, with the only challenge being the steps. The early morning view was breathtaking, offering a serene, quiet, and cooler experience. I can't recommend this tour enough, and I'm thrilled I booked it despite my initial skepticism. It's definitely worth getting up early!
