Good local spots off the “tourist avenue”. No A/C in one of the jeeps. Also be aware that they don’t let you use sunscreen at the beach due to the reef. Not even the “reef safe” stuff. No sunscreen at all.

Jorge was awesome! He knew everything about the island and was very nice! We loved this tour as it was our 2nd time doing it. We loved seeing how black coral was made into jewelry and the Mayan village was a lot of fun (great people there)! We finished up with snorkeling at Tortugas! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our tour guide was very nice and easy to fin- however, one of our bags was stolen out of the trunk of the jeep! We were leaving the tequila tasting and told we would need to switch cars- which felt odd- when we went to the original vehicle to retrieve our belongings (that he had moved from the original parking spot) our bag was not in his trunk. A bit of conversation followed where he tried to figure out how and when it happened as we had made one stop prior to shop at a local artisan he recommended. He wanted to continue the tour and said his boss would “figure it out” which we didn’t understand how if something was stolen that would be possible. We requested to end the tour there and were extremely disappointed. We believed he was responsible for keeping us and our belongings safe while we were in his care (he also drove us around- and was in the same vehicle with us). We are still waiting to hear from viator about a refund as the tour didn’t even offer any kind of resolution or refund- despite never making it to the actual stops we requested (the beach snorkeling and punta sur).

Communication with the company ahead was very easy. Pickup was as instructed. There was only 2 of us so Peter rode with us. I drove to start but we had him take over as it was kinda hairy in town. Mayan experience, Tequila stop and beach stop/lunch were very good to. Overall good experience.

Our driver was great, the jeep not so much. I'm 5'11" 230 and it was a 2 door. I'm 53 so not a great fit. My mom is 71 so I let her take the front. They were late.

Stopped at the Casa Morin Tequila place tasted some tequila and had a some great authentic Mexican food snorkeling and we also did the Pueblo Del Mail experience and made tamales.
