Nice way to get introduced to Nairobi. The views from the convention center are definitely worth it. Great panoramic view of the city. The bead factory was interesting and the Bomas were a grrat introduction to Kenyan cultural dancing. My guide Faith was very sweet. She was ponctual and very helpful.

Kelvin was such an amazing guide! So knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. I felt very safe and well cared for which was important to me as a solo female traveler. The day was a perfect combination of historic and modern Kenya and was a great introduction to this beautiful country. Highly recommend this tour. Be sure to not miss Bomas of Kenya! The music and dance was so fun.

The city tour was amazing! My tour guide Meshack picked me up from the airport, right on time. First stop was the Museum and snake park. The experts gave me a tour, they were very knowledgeable and welcoming. Meshack took me to an amazing restaurant- excellent food and service and affordable. We visited the Boma’s of Kenya, Kobe touch women’s beading centre, KICC and some beautiful African gift shops. The entire experience was amazing, waaay beyond my expectations. I was worried about safety but Meshack ensured that I was okay - solo travelers ensure you ask for Meshack, he took care of my luggage and ensured I was comfortable throughout the day.

One suggestion is to add the African Heritage house to the city tour.

I gotta come back here… I haven’t had enough yet plus Nairobi is beautiful 😻.

Asante!!

Having travelled the world extensively, for work and leisure, I have dealt with many tours and hospitality companies. Rustic Nature Tours is by far one of the best companies I’ve interacted with for a guided tour. We had the pleasure of exploring Nairobi on a private day tour with Kelvin. From the moment I contacted the company, I was immediately responded to and given a very clear and transparent itinerary with pricing. They consistently kept in touch to ensure I was satisfied and arrived at the hotel right on time for pick-up. Kelvin has the apt ability to immediately make you feel welcomed into his country and his in-depth knowledge of Kenyan, and more broadly regional, history was impressive. We spent the day exploring the national museum, local markets, a restaurant where only locals go (so no tourist trap), jewellery shopping and of course Bomas of Kenya. Not once did we feel rushed or pressured on the tour to do anything. If you are in Kenya and want to have an incredible guide that immerses you in East African culture, I highly recommend reaching out to Rustic Nature Tours.

This was an excellent tour of Nairobi city, KICC and giraffe center. Our tour guide Kelvin, was very informative and personable. We learnt so much about the history, culture and city’s infrastructure. The highlight for me was feeding the giraffes and learning about the different types of giraffes. It was very insightful and Kelvin was also there to help , assist with taking pictures and answer questions we had.
We had a wonderful time!

I tried to make the most of the 2 days I had in Nairobi before going to Masai Mara and Serengeti. Kelvin asked me about my itinerary and used the time at the National Museum on things related to my travels: people, animals, birds… Kelvin was flexible and he took me to the American Embassy memorial instead of downtown.
Bomas was a very enjoyable experience: great music and dances and then the houses of various tribes. On the way to the car we even saw a couple of animals and birds.
I recommend this tour and Kelvin for anybody who wants to learn about East African culture and history
