Pattaya : Coral Island Full Day Tour with Snorkeling, Jetski and Parasailing

I had an extremely unpleasant experience with Funny Sea Tours. I felt like nothing more than cattle being herded around, rather than a valued customer. The tour guide seemed more interested in making money off of photos than ensuring that everyone was informed about the events. I strongly advise against booking a tour with them.

Furthermore, the snorkeling was a complete disappointment. The water was so green that it was impossible to see any fish. The jet ski ride was not even under my control; I had to ride with an employee of the company.

The beach we visited was chaotic and overcrowded, with a dangerous mix of people, jet skis, and boats. It's surprising that there haven't been any accidents yet.

On a slightly positive note, the paragliding was enjoyable, although disappointingly short at only two minutes.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend this tour to anyone.

Amazing coordination, the tour was well organised. Able to meet all the commitments. The pick up bit late but we did not miss anything. They take picture and provide soft copy after the tour which is amazing and helpful.

The guides were very professional and helpful. I enjoyed all the activities that we did including the parasailing, jetskiing, and the snorkeling. The snorkeling was especially fun as you can see so many schools of fish. My fiance and I found the lunch to be filling and delicious. However the one OVERRIDING complaint we have was that the main beach was overwhelmingly polluted. The waters were clear so you can see the enormous amount of trash and plastic floating around, my skin was screaming "CANCER" as I swam there. I cannot recommend people visit that beach until it gets cleaned up.

We were expecting this to be a day at the island with things like parasailing, snorkeling, banana boats etc however, it's not what you expect. You get one of each thing, and for a very short time. After you ride in the van to pick a bunch of people up, you then get to the dock where you wait around for a bit and get on a boat. The boat takes you to a platform where each person waits in a long line to do parasailing for about 3 minutes each. Then you wait around some more, get back in the boat and go to the island. You do a similar banana boat ride for about 5 minutes and a jetski ride for about 5 minutes also. Then you have a few hours of free time on the island, which does not have clear water, to relax and chill. Lunch was provided but wasn't anything special. That was kind of the day, not really what we expected.

We enjoyed all the activities, it was a hot day so, we had to return early. Except delay in pick up rest of the tour was well planned.

We were given an 8:30 pick-up time, we were outside waiting at 8:20. Quality Island Tours Co. LTD. called us at 8:28 to tell us they were running late and would pick us up at 9:30 instead. 15 minutes later they called and said driver would be picking us up in 20 minutes.
Upon arriving at the pier, we were told to sit and wait. After a short wait we were given ribbons for our wrist and marker writing on our hand with no explanation what it was for.
We were then herded like cattle to a boat and taken to a platform in the bay to parasail. We chose not to parasail, so we had to wait for over an hour on the platform before we were shuffled aboard another boat. There were not enough life jackets on board for all passengers, so assume boat was over the legal limit.
Another stop along the way to let passengers off for the seawall attraction. Finally reached Coral Island and were told to go that way and follow the guide. Again, no explanation.
The jetski was a 2 minute ride, as was the banana boat ride. Decided to at least get in some snorkeling, but could not get on the boat as the bottom rung of the ladder was a five foot step up.
We talked to the tour operator on sight and got the usual " So Sorry ". She told us to have a seat and she would arrange for lunch, never saw her again.
After about an hour we were approached by another company representative and ask if we were ready to return to Pattaya. I told him we had not had lunch yet, so he took us to a restaurant and told them to give us lunch. This was the best part of the whole tour, as the food and service were great.
When we finished lunch we were instructed to sit and wait for the boat. We were guided to a boat and told to get aboard only to be told we had to get off and wait for another boat. We had to wait an half hour for a boat to take us to shore. Once on shore they put us in a van and headed completely in the opposite direction of our hotel. We arrived at a strange hotel and told to wait again while they arranged for a smaller car since it was just the two of us.
I CAN NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!!!

This tour has room for improvement. First, the cab ride was in the back of a pickup truck exposing us to a lot of exhaust- particularly while waiting for others to be picked up. Next, all of the activities were short and at extremely crowded locations- hundreds of other people. For example, the parasailing- which was fun- required standing in a half hour line for a 2-3 minute experience. Similarly, the jet skis required standing in a line for a few minutes, and you could not take it out by yourself. The glass bottom boat did not require a line, but it was short and there wasn’t anything to see. Finally, the snorkeling was in a small enclosed area that was jammed full of people and flotation islands, and there wasn’t anything to see. As for the good, the island was crowded, but lovely with clear water and soft sand (you can pay out of pocket for better jetskiiing and activities.) the lunch was mediocre- I would have rather eaten from one of the food stands.
All in all, I’d be willing to fo it again if someone really wanted to do it, but I’d prefer to look for something less crowded and with better activities.

Worst trip organizatuon ever, also a cash grab and missleading information regarding activities

The tour guide was very unfriendly and non informative

Everything mentioned incmuding jet ski is 10 minutes with another person but if you pay 800 baht you can do it yourself

Trips from phuket are much better, we were so dissapointed we left early

Scam, people that interesting only in money
And now let’s break this down
One if not the must improved trips which I saw in my life
Transfer was on time from where all went to trash
We came to pattaya port where we regrouped with everyone and went to the boat - around 20 people
Where additional we met our guide “mr bady”
Very rude guy that barely know English
Could explain about the activities no more then that. Questions ?? Forget about it
SpeedBoat - wood cheap boat in which u can fill every small wave

After couple of minutes you arrive to a big place in the middle of the sea where they give you a ticket to paraglide
Important note that except your group there is a lot of other groups that waiting in line to fly for 1 minutes
They said that only paraglide activity cost 800 Baht
*After quick check you can take private paraglide on beaches for 600 baht which will fly you approx 10-15 minutes

Ok next
After “exciting” paragliding which we skipped
We got back to the strong “speedboat”

Another 20 minutes of drive and we got near
Ko lan island where we switch to another smaller wood boat, the phi phi local boats type
This part was to see the corals
Nothing against it but it was very cheap

And the must interesting part where we decided end this trip and go back by our self to pattaya

On the smaller boat we got to island Ko lan
Where we got our jet ski package
You wanna drive alone ? Nope
This is a Thai guy that will sit behind you
Because of the large group u have around 5 min round
But you can pay extra 800 baht to drive alone other wise there is a “police”
You wanna locker for your stuff because it not safe to leave the stuff - mr bady quete
Pay 100 baht
You wanna towel ? Pay 40 baht

After the feeling that they just wanna get as much money as they can I decided to end this suffer
On the question is another boat that can take us to pattaya
The first thing that I’ve heard - “sign, no refund”

Any way they ruined my morning which was really positive
So save your 2600 baht per person and more important energy and skip this one
Thank you hope I’ve saved somewhere energy

The description of the tour was misleading. They say that the groups are maximum of 10 people but when you get there there are 28 people. Our day was ruined because of your lying advertisement.

We offered to return the next day, but then we found out the truth, they don’t even have a 10 person group in their service. So they were advertising a service they don’t have.

They are liars in their advertisements and because of them we lost half a day in our vacation.

After a serious complaint in TripAdvisor they changed the number of people in a group to max 30. After so much noise and derangement.
