Absolutely one of the best experiences I’ve enjoyed while visiting Sicily - as chef and restaurant owner Ettore led us through the market, we discussed the types of food we liked, and he proceeded to buy the fresh fish and vegetables we needed to make the perfect lunch, back in his restaurant kitchen. Under is expert guidance, we created the best Sicilian lunch we have ever had.

Hector is a good cook and does know the Ortigia Market very well. We made a tour of the market, bought fresh items to cook, then walked to his restaurant where we crowded into the kitchen and watched him demonstrate the techniques to prepare several local dishes, including baked swordfish and pasta with mixed seafood. The meal was great we had the whole restaurant to ourselves for lunch, and everybody had a really good time. The only issue we had was the starting time got changed the day before and we didn't understand that it wasn't just a typo. (It seemed strange to change the starting time of an event like this.) But we called the office and they confirmed the change and we were able to meet up with the rest of the group. I highly recommend this class!!!

Our guide Hector was amazing and we very much enjoyed our experience with HIM. However the coordination with Wonderful Italy was chaotic— we were given three times and locations in the space of a day, we were not told that we, two women, would be getting in our guides personal car a driven to an undisclosed location. Still we loved our market experience and cooking class with Hector who is lovely and very knowledgeable
