Our guide Miguel was really great! He provided us with so much history of the region, little historical facts and a great deal of knowledge about winemaking. The two winery visits were also really great - the wine tastings, the hosts and the views were all spectacular! The only parts that fell short of our expectations were the lunch and the boat ride on the river. Based on the price of this tour, I expected the lunch to be finer dining than it was. The food was tasty, but basic. And we were stuck inside a building, at what seemed like a cafeteria table. I was expecting better. The boat ride was nice, in and of itself, but the boy who was assisting the captain assured us at the beginning that we would not need to listen to the guide recording because he would tell us everything we needed to know, but then he spent the entire hour playing with his mobile phone and did not share a single word with us about the history or the various sites we were passing during the tour. It would have been nice.

As good as it gets. Not only is the landscape stunningly beautiful and the wine fantastic, the journey is fun and well organized and our guide, Miguel, was simply stellar and enjoyable. Highly recommended tour.

AMAZING tour of the Douro Valley. We were limited on time but this tour allowed us to enjoy the best of the Douro Valley with the time we had. Miguel was an excellent guide who extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and made our experience memorable. Thank you!

Scenery is crazy beautiful. A 50 minutes boat ride on the Douro was the perfect amount of time. Lots of wine and port tasting. I learned much about the wine and port making processes. Problem was with my pickup. Viator tickets lists one location. Then I got an email from the driver saying that the pickup had changed. Then I go another email from the driver saying that it had changed again. Very unhappy about this. Plus, once we learned that our driver was a signer and lot of the conversation switched to his “other life.” I didn’t pay for that.

Everything about this trip was wonderful. Alvaro made this trip unforgettable, he was pleasant, knowledgeable, friendly and the best driver. The lunch, dessert , and wine provided were delicious . We enjoyed every moment and will highly recommend this tour.

My mother and I had an Awsome time with Andreia. She was very down to earth and relatable. She gave us very useful information throughout the tour and plenty of suggestions of things to see and after the tour. She ensured we were all comfortable through out the trip. We could not have asked for a better representative.

What a fantastic day with Andreia. We had a small group of 6 and had so much fun together. The scenery, lunch, boat tour and port tastings were all highlights! Well worth it!
