What to expect:
Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera helped to define Mexican modernism while engaged in a tumultuous romance. On this Frida Kahlo Tour we’ll get a glimpse into the life of Mexican artists.
Our visit will take us to the Frida Kahlo Museum, or Casa Azul, her former abode and where many of her self-portraits were created. We will get a sense of how she once lived and worked. We’ll engage directly with her history as we surround ourselves by her artwork, her clothing, her photos, and even the prosthetics, and corsets she wore as a result of childhood polio and a horrifying train accident in 1925.

As a fan of Frida's work, we were looking forward to this museum and we were not disappointed. The museum has a great flow that takes you through the house and keeps the crowd evenly dispersed (even on a busy day). A lot of the information was in English and Spanish so one can easily enjoy at their own pace but to get the most out of the experience, we highly recommend getting a guide. Our guide was Neene who was very knowledgeable and passionate, relaying all the emotional aspects of Frida and Diego's journey excellently. We left feeling like we were immersed in the experience thanks to her.

Our guide Neene was very knowledgeable and told us the story of Frida's life through the exhibits in the museum. I would highly recommend this tour and especially our guide Neene. Such a beautiful and historic place.

Extraordinary knowledge base, gracious, and humorous.

Neene was a wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable, fun and easy to communicate with. We arrived a little late and she was very accommodating. She made the experience better. The museum is lovely and a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. For anyone with hardships in their lives, Frida is an inspiration.

Our guide, Neene, made our time at the house more meaningful and enjoyable. She had a method of moving us through the crowds and finding the perfect spots to explain the features of the house and the life of its inhabitants. We have seen a previous traveling Kahlo exhibit before but being in the house where Frida worked and lived was the perfect way to appreciate her all too short life.
