This tour focuses on art in one of the most popular museums in Mexico City - Soumaya Museum. A home to a private art collection of nearly 70,000 works from 15th to mid-20th century it includes the world’s largest private collection of Auguste Rodin sculptures. Designed by FR-EE, the museum reflects the eclectic taste of the collector, as well as his desire to create a new cultural institution for the public and the city.

During the tour we will explore its architecture and admire the museum’s continuous six-level promenade of exhibition, presentation and gathering space.
We will enjoy the art works and hear the explanation of the most important painting by our expert in art.

This is an amazing place, with hundreds of Rodin sculptures and art of all times. The building itself is a work of art.
If you go to Mexico DF this is a must.
Next to the Soumaya Museum you can find the mall Plaza Carso with a lot of places to eat.

We booked this tour through Viator expecting to have someone with the knowledge of the amazing collection in this museum to guide us through and provide us with the information about the works of art displayed there. We did not get the tour. We just had a chaperone who followed us around and then took a picture with us in the end.
We contacted Viator asking for a refund but they refused on the basis of the fact that the "guide" showed up and had a picture to prove it. It was a complete waste of $130. The friends of ours who took that tour before us had a very similar experience. We would not recommend it to anybody. The museum is incredible and can be enjoyed without an expensive "chaperone".
