1. Montserrat
In This One Day Trip From Barcelona ( Montserrat Tour ), We'll pick you up from your hotel or Any Address in Barcelona to commence our Montserrat Tour on a ride through the scenic landscapes of Catalonia. Heading southwest, our journey takes us through the captivating Natural Park of Montserrat, offering breathtaking vistas and your guide will provide you with a brief explanation about the area and share fascinating geographical information about this remarkable region. Make sure to also keep your camera handy for great shots of the mountain's unique rock formations with Barcelona and Catalonia in the distance.
2. Montserrat Mountains
On the second leg of our day trip from Barcelona to Montserrat, our next stop is at the cable car station in Montserrat Mountains. This cable car provides an alternative route to the Monastery, allowing you to cross the Llobregat river and ascend to an altitude of nearly 4000 feet. Dating back to 1930, this cable car operates with just two cabins, reaching a speed of 5 meters per second. During your free time, if you wish, you can experience the Cable Car ride, which offers a spectacular view of Montserrat and the Monastery Area (please note that the Cable Car ticket is not included).
3. Abadia de Montserrat
On our day trip from Barcelona to Montserrat, our third stop brings us to the Abadia de Montserrat by car. Here, a private guided walking tour awaits, immersing you in Montserrat's history and rich religious heritage. Explore the Abadia de Montserrat and its surroundings, including discussions about routes within Montserrat and other pilgrimage sites. 4. Escolania de Montserrat
At our fourth stop, we'll be treated to a Choir performance at the Santa Maria Basilica of Montserrat. This experience is the highlight of our day trip from Barcelona, as you'll have the opportunity to witness the renowned Boys Choir Performance, considered one of the most famous in Europe. To ensure a seamless and guaranteed spot in the Choir performance on their singing days, advance booking is included as part of this tour. This allows you to skip the lines and fully enjoy this exceptional musical performance. Please note that the Boys' Choir performs on Sundays during mass, but not on Saturdays. Additionally, there are no choir performances during summer holidays, certain afternoons, and over Christmas holidays. Attendance at the Boys' Choir performance is subject to availability on singing days. While it is highly unlikely that these experiences won't be available on your selected tour date, in rare cases of unavailability, you will receive prompt notification after booking.

Our tour guide and driver on this private tour - Adrian - was wonderful. He was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable about the area from Barcelona to Montserrat. Once at Montserrat he continued to provide us with much information, took pictures of our family, got us front row seats to the boys' choir. He gave us time to have lunch on-site and never felt rushed. He created a positive experience for us all. I would recommend Adrian for your private tour to Montserrat.

What a wonderful, memorable day! Adrian did an outstanding job of helping us explore the highlights of Montserrat in a fun and informative way. He somehow always got us to the right place at the right time, enabling us to make the most of our time in this very special place. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and of Montserrat itself, which greatly enhanced our experience. Our day with Adrian in Montserrat was a highlight of our vacation. Adrian was a great guide with extensive knowledge of the Monastery and surrounding area. Besides the beautiful views and religious significance of the monastery the history of destruction and reconstruction was very interesting.

His depth of knowledge far surpasses the content of this particular event and we were thrilled to be the lucky beneficiaries of that knowledge. He had a Mercedes van in pristine condition, picked us up at a perfect location, where all of us could easily and safely embark on the journey. He provided interesting information about the region on the way to and from Montserrat, and he had a sensible itinerary for us once there. He also told us about areas outside the region and we had a great conversation about Turkey as well. Anyone would be so lucky to have this fine man as their guide! Adrian was generous to offer to answer any questions we might have outside of the tour and I did take him up on that. We hit a snag in a train schedule and I couldn't quite figure out if I was reading a certain element correctly so I sent Adrian a text and he set me straight. We're forever grateful!

One of the best tours we have ever been on. Adrian was magical - his knowledge and the extra special touches he included made this tour incredible. Montserrat is indescribable - you must visit to experience the majestic mountain, beautiful monastery, the black Madonna, Catalan Mass, and the boys choir. We left in awe and highly recommend Adrian and this tour.

We had the best day with Adrian. He picked us up at our hotel and knew so many interesting details about Barcelona and Montserrat! He knew the best spots to stop on the side of the road and to take a great picture of Montserrat! He told us exactly where to sit for the best spot to enjoy the boys’ choir! He guided us expertly through Montserrat- told us the history and made sure that we didn’t miss a thing! We really wanted to see Montserrat and thought public transportation might be hard- and what a delight he was- he was a great driver and he really took care of us. I really recommend this tour company! I thought they were very reasonably priced in comparison to others, too.

Amazing unique experience. Adrian was excellent, very knowledgeable and super attentive. Montserrat tour is an educational and spiritual experience. We enjoyed the mass on Sunday and even stayed for the children choir. So worth the private tour!
