Half-Day Sea Turtle and Cenote Snorkeling Tour from Cancun & Riviera Maya

Two great locations and an enthusiastic guide. Not a lot of driving from our resort in Riviera Maya. We departed at 0845 and returned around 1400.

Had such an incredible time on this tour. Transport and scheduling was a total breeze, and our tour guide Sofia was so lovely and knowledgeable. Would 100% recommend this tour!!!

Amazing day/tour. Early morning was worth it for this one, we saw over 6 turtles at Akamal bay, all different sizes, some babies and some big guys, many stingrays, a puffer fish, and countless beautiful fish. Our guide Maryna, photographer Lara and driver Jason were there every step of the way and were an amazing team. We loved both parts equally, the cenote was amazing and it was sweet to be the only group in there. We learnt lots and would definitely do another tour with this group again.

Had a good time on the tour. Snorkeling was OK we did get to see turtles and a sting ray but it felt rushed because its a busy spot so you have to keep moving through the roped off snorkel course. Cenote was great with kids, its refreshing and neat experience to be in an underwater cave. Our guide Marina was very organized, helpful and gave an informative cenote tour.

We had a beautiful, perfect day snorkeling with sea turtles, stingrays and lots of different fish. We saw a lot of soft coral and fam coral. Enjoyed swimming in the clear cool Cenote. Our expert guide Cesar (salad) and the photographer and driver were great. The pictures taken by the professional photographer were amazing and well worth the extra $50. My favorite excursion in this area. They keep the groups small and were exactly on time for pickup and drop off.

My partner and I are avid scuba divers but wanted to increase chances of seeing a sea turtle (my spirit animal) so added a snorkeling excursion to our trip. Ines, Alan, and Pedro (guide, photographer, driver) made this excursion amazing! We were picked up on time, met with a big smile, and away we went to the beach where we’d snorkel (the same beach Akumal Dive Shop is located at). The visibility wasn’t optimal but we were able to see sting rays, angel fish, groupers. We started making our way back and we ran into a pair of sea turtles (Atlantic Green Sea Turtles)!! We watched them eat some sea grass, then surface to breath a couple times before losing sight of them.
We next went to Cenotes Balam and got to explore Yum Balam (Big Jaguar). It was our first cenotes experience; pretty dope under surface adventure where Ines taught us a lot of cool facts. It was accented by multiple Mexican fruit bat appearances overhead.
If you’re in the Akumal/Tulum area, I highly recommend this excursion if you want to snorkel and visit a cenotes.
