1. Ancient City of Ephesus
This enclosure for archaeological remains at Ephesus elegantly reconciles historic conservation with accessibility for visitors. The site of a succession of great ancient civilizations, Ephesus, on the south-west coast of modern Turkey, embodied a peculiarly fertile synthesis of architecture and culture. In 356BC the Greeks built the Artemesium (a colossal Ionic temple dedicated to Artemis the fertility goddess) which was one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. During the 2nd century BC, Ephesus was the fourth largest city in the eastern Roman Empire, famous for its Artemision, the Library of Celsus and its medical school..
2. The Temple of Artemis
The Temple of Artemis is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. It has been built in the areas of Ephesus on a flat area which has over the centuries turned into a swamp. If you visit Ephesus today, you can only see the ruins of the foundations of this marvelous construction of the Hellenistic Age, entirely made of marble and full of sculptured columns' capitals and shafts. The most beautiful remaining of this temple are today exhibited in the London British Museum. The oldest remaining found date back till the 6th century BC. It was surrounded by 36 huge columns, later enlarged upon the orders of the Lydia King, Kreisos, during the 6th century BC. Most of the exhibits in the London British Museum belong to this period.
3. Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)
House of Virgin Mary is located on the top of the "Bulbul" mountain 9 km ahead of Ephesus, the shrine of Virgin Mary enjoys a marvelous atmosphere hidden in the green. It is the place where Mary may have spent her last days. Indeed, she may have come in the area together with Saint John, who spent several years in the area to spread Christianity. Mary preferred this remote place rather than living in crowded place. The house of Virgin Mary is a typical Roman architectural example, entirely made of stones. In the 4th century AD, a church, combining her house and grave, has been built. The original two-stored house, which consisted of an anteroom (where today candles are proposed), bedroom and praying room (Christian church area) and a room with fireplace (chapel for Muslims).

Our tour guide Nathan was wonderful. She was funny, patient, and informative. We saw all the major sites at a great pace. Ephesus will be crowded, but it lets you reflect on what your seeing. The tour was worth every penny!

It was an amazing tour, our guide Tas really has the ability and the knowledge to get the best of Ephesus in the short time we had. Very entertaining and nice, and he managed our time so well that we got to see all the highlights, I highly recommend it. We liked everything, from the car that was brand new and clean to the food that was delicious. 10/10

The tour was excellent and our guide, Nage was so knowledgeable and friendly. We never felt rushed and we had no wait time at all. We saw all the historic monuments we had hoped to see. She also took us for a delicious traditional lunch and a tour of Turkish rug making and Turkish pottery. We would definitely recommend going on a tour with her!

Our tour guide, Tas, was great. He picked us up early and took his time on the tour. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about sharing his knowledge. We loved that it was private tour. The car we were picked up in was clean, nice and comfortable. The driver was polite. They even took us somewhere extra after our tour was over per our request. The only annoying part but happens on most tours you take and happened to other guests who booked with other companies, is that they take you to a carpet outlet where they try to sell you carpets and jewelry, it feels awkward and uncomfortable. The prices are even too expensive

Tas was a phenomenal guide! He was very knowledgeable, funny, with excellent English and tips for our family. He did a fabulous job giving us the history of Ephesus as well as interesting information about Turkey and guiding us through the day with ease.

Our lunch was included and the traditional Turkish food was DELICIOUS!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this lovely tour and Tas as your guide!

*You will have to pay your Owen entrance fee to Ephesus, separate from the cost of the tour. The current price is €44 per person over the age of 8.
