This was my husband and I first trip to Egypt. Our experience in Luxor is indescribable!! We had the pleasure of a personal tour by Ahmed Elkallaf, and accompanied by Driver, Gaber. Ahmed was not only professional but an in-depth historian. His thorough explanation of Egyptian culture was informative and enlightening. Ahmed definitely kept us on our toes by engaging us with thoughtful questions to make sure we had an understanding of historical facts and all things Egypt. Our Driver, Gaber navigated us safely throughout Luxor and provided a comfortable trip by car. He too was very professional and friendly.
We can’t speak highly of the time spent in beautiful, breathtaking Luxor with two exceptional guides who made our experience a memorable experience of a lifetime!
Tour Company Review (Best of Egypt Tours): There was some confusion regarding our train travel arrangements which caused us to almost not be able board the train. Although a sticky situation, the tour company did work this out. Outside of this, it would have been helpful to have been told in advance costs of the various locations that we visited but was not included in the cost of the trip. These costs are not just admission fees, but in some cases a fee to use bathroom or ride the cart that will take you into the entrance of some of tombs. Since we were not told these costs, we did not bring enough cash and had to use our credit card which came with an additional 3% international transfer fee.
Despite this, a trip to Luxor is worth every penny. Just be prepared to do lots of walking But you will definitely witness utterly amazing things!
