Carlos was our tour guide. He met us in Cusco, had all tickets (buses, trains, Machu Picchu entrance) and gave a good overview of the history. He did a good job of capturing group photos along the way too.

Carlos was a PHENOMENAL guide!! He really took the time to teach the history of Machupicchu and kept us engaged all day long. By far one of the best tours I’ve been on. I highly recommend!!!!!! Next time I’m in Peru he will be my go to!

I already got confirmation and was even charged $430 using the reserve now, pay later option. Then, I messaged the operator the day before the trip to ask when I will be picked up only for them to tell me in the afternoon that they were unable to get my ticket. They cancelled last minute instead of letting me know in advance. I could have made different plans or arranged the trip with another company. I went to Cusco mainly to see Machu Picchu but they ruined everything for me. If you want a guaranteed trip, dont book here. Tip: If you are unable to get customers a ticket, let them know in advance.

If you are booking on short notice (within a month) they won't handle your Machu Picchu ticket, and so even if you think you are buying a 15-hour tour, it ends up being about 36 hours because you have to arrive in aguas calientes early one morning to get a number, come back that afternoon with your number and stand in line for 90 minutes, and then hopefully get into Machu Picchu the next day. Overall an extremely stressful experience, and also quite expensive. Local agencies in Cusco will provide a breakdown of all costs, and they're around $200 including car, train, entrance, etc so anything on top of that is commission. I don't mind paying a $200+ commission, but at that price it shouldn't be nearly as stressful as it was.
