Mount Batur Trekking and Natural Hot Spring

This was the most amazing experience and well worth the steep ascent .
This hike was steep but short and for anyone with a moderate level of fitness this is fine.

At the top this was such a fabulous experience and well worth the wait

Our guide was brilliant, he pushed us up so we got good spot waiting for the sun to rise .

We were given blankets, hot tea and a breakfast . Once the sun was out he took us to different points of the mountain for pictures and these were spectacular.

One experience we will never forget. Definitely recommend.

Great time going up to Mt Batur, after relaxing at Natural Spa and finishing the day visiting local Abian Kusuma Sari coffee plantation.
Our tour guide, the coffee guide and driver all were wonderful and helped us with everything we needed.

We booked this excursion back in the UK a long time ago so I wasn't sure whether it would actually work? However all was good. From start to finish. We were picked up from our hotel bang on time by our driver for the day Kadek Dwika. He drove us to base camp very early in the morning where he handed us over to our trekking guide Adi. Adi guided us up the mountain and made sure we stopped for breaks. When we reached the top we sat down by a hut where he cooked us breakfast while we waited for sunrise. It was a beautiful sight for sure.
Adi took us to the summit where the view was spectacular 360⁰. On the way back down Adi made sure we were OK and told us when it got a bit slippery. He handed us back over to our driver Kadek who took us back to our hotel.
A few things to consider though, it is a volcano and some of the trail up is steep and hard work.
Volcanic Ash is very fine and gets in your shoes/boots so your feet will be black once you get back down.
However. This excursion is one of the best things I have ever done so I would very much recommend it.

Online booking was very easy. Our driver Kadek, guide for the hike, and guide at the coffee plantation were excellent, very helpful throughout the day. The hike was amazing!! Perfect weather and views. Definitely a must do experience in Bali!!!

Today me and my wife did the Mount Batur Trekking Tour. We had our pick-up in Ubud at 2.30. Right on time and right in front of our villa Kadek Dwika pick us up. The most polite, safe and fun driver we have had during our stay on Bali. He also has lots of knowledge about the island, Mount Batur and all the other things the island has to offer. Ariving at the car he opend the door for my wife and at our request he also stopped at an atm during our drive for Mount Batur! Kadek is a good and safe drivers with a clean car. When we arive at the basecamp for the trekking tour he also opened the door for my wife(he did this everytime, a real gentleman) and we immediatly got some coffee and tea with some lovely cookies. Also we met our trekking tour guide Gunawan, I think he is the most experienced and fun guide of Mount Batur. Before we left he gave us some lights and a stick for the hike. During our hike up Mount Batur he always made sure he had our tempo and that we will arive safely on the top! He also made us laugh for like 30+ times. He knew everything about the mountain, hiking and he also new all the other guides. What made it a nice and social walk. When he saw a girl of a other group Who was struggling to get up he also made sure her guide waited for her and he also gave her his stick so she could cary on more easily! He also put our sweaters in his bag and carried my wifes bag when it was broken. So thoughtfull and sweet! Ariving at the top he gave us the best seats posible and made us some lovely breakfast! He boiled some eggs and bananas in the steam of the vulcano and made us some delicious egg & banana sandwiches. We also get fresh fruit, chocolate cookies and a candybar. More than we could eat. He also walked down the hill to get us some hot coco to keep us nice and warm. I think he was a professional photographer is his past life because he made us some really beautifull pictures and knew the best places for it. During our walk down me and my wife wanted to speed it up bit. And there we went, half walking & half running like an chicken it was awesome. Gunawan gets a 1000 out of 10 on everything you can imagine. When we arived at basecamp Kadek was waiting for us to bring us to the Hot-Spring during this drive he told us some more about the landsites and then he turned up the music. In 30 seconds the car changed into a little"karoake" car and we were all singing happily on some great songs! Ariving at the hot-spring he showed us the way and took care of our tickets, towels and showed the way to the locker. We enjoyed a lovely swim in the hot-spring and enjoyed the welcome drink wich was provided by the tour! When we where finished at the hot-spring we jumped back into our "karaoke" car for the next stop the Luwak Coffee Plantation. So again we where singing and it was like a party on our way to the Luwak Coffee Plantation. Ariving there we had a tour of the plantation and a tasting of different coffee and tea, and ofcourse ending with the MOST delicious Luwak Coffee. They also had a lovely shop where you can buy the products for really good and fair prices. After the tasting we went back to our new friend Kadek. He offerd us to stop at a nice restaurant with good food if we were hungry but we declined because we were to tired of the tour. So Kadek brought us home. Singing, having fun and filled with great memories and joy! Long story short: I recommend everyone to book a tour here they get a 1000 out of 10! Above our expectations! SUKSMA Kadek Dwika & Gunawan!

Everything was arranged so good! Our private driver, Kadek Dwika, picked us up in the middle of the night and drove us safely to the start of the trekking. Then Wayan took us up the vulcano. We got head lights and water. The trip up fell hard on me because i just had been sick, Wayan was really patience and even carried my back for a while. After the sunrise Wayan made us breakfast and took us down again. He really took his time to make some really great pictures of us. Then Kadak drove us to the hot springs and coffee plantation. All with smiles, nice music and some singing together in the car.
Absolutely great trip, thanks guys!

The view was amazing so worth the super early start our guide ketut kartana was superb legit 10/10 would 100 percent recommend anyone coming to Bali to do the mt batar sunrise climb. Will definitely be back to tackle the big one

Magnificent experience!

Ascent at sunrise on Mount Batur. Ketut is an absolutely perfect, patient and caring guide. He helped us a lot and encouraged us. He made this experience special. His breakfast cooked in the volcano's heat sources was great. His explanations very interesting. The ascent is a little difficult, but accessible if in good physical condition. It's definitely worth it, the sunrise is magnificent. Swimming in the hot springs was very relaxing and enjoyable. I recommend ! Thanks Ketut!

We chose Bali Trekking Tours because of their 5*reviews for our recent trip up Mount Batur for sunrise and the Hot Springs.
The whole team from the driver Kadak who picked us up from hotel to the guide who took us to the top were extremely friendly and helpful.
The whole trip was fantastic and we got to see the most incredible sunrise. Amazing!

I would throughly recommend this trip while in Bali.
