Well worth buying the skip the line. It was so helpful. It’s about a 15 minute walk after you get your tickets and then there is a line for skip the line but they have it very organized. Well worth it!

Seeing David was amazing. I’m thankful Marco met us at museum since it was a madhouse. Wouldn’t had known where to go. Museum was behind in letting groups in so had to wait.

To get in we had to pick up the tickets 15 minutes away from the entrance to the David at the tour office. They were pleasant but made us wait for the tickets for a half hour. Also we arrived early and they could not issue tickets u til 1/2 hour before tour. Then to get into the Academia we had to walk 15 min. Across Florence and stand in line for 1/2 hour or more to get in. Wasted our time with this running around. Was not pleasant. But we got in and they allowed us to stay for over 2 hours. They should have the tour company meet us with our tickets at the Academia!
No other tour made us run around like this. Not ok.

The gallery is wonderful; art work does not disappoint and crowds are manageable. BUT: walking to one end of the city to exchange a voucher, then an extended walk through crowds to pick up a ticket is crazy and annoying waste of time and effort. Please issue a voucher and time at one place near the gallery. The extended walking and searching for an address through building works was unacceptable at best, and bloody annoying. Please FIX this system!

Good instructions on how to get the tickets after the booking. The ticket was timely as expected. Heads-up that the museum entry time seems runs late as the day goes by. For example, our ticket was for 10:30, we were invited to enter around 11. It is a worthwhile wait to see such a masterpiece in my opinion.

The truth is, it was a wonderful tour. Francesca was very kind and explained everything to us very clearly and very didactic. She made us see the works from the best places and took the time to answer each question. I will contact her for other visits. I am very satisfied... The tour Highly recommended and with Francesca much better!!!

Note the meeting place for the tour. It is 15-20 min away from the museum. Very inconvenient and unnecessary to get there tickets. They charged 10x cost of tickets.
