The 5 hour Kauai Sightseeing tour is a perfect mix of beautiful natural sites, history & local foods. We call it short and sweet. Available only on Fridays.

We designed this tour for those of you who don't have all day to spend on a tour yet still want to take the day off from driving to experience Kauai's East side in depth. You will visit 2 waterfalls, a beautiful beach park, 3 archeological sites, and experience tasty locally made food in two different towns; Lihue and Kapaa. Lunch spot TBA. A day of discovery awaits you!

We are a small family owned business. Our guides are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the culture and history of our island. Our tours are small, never to exceed 13, and our vehicles are clean, spacious and air conditioned. Also available as a private tour through Viator.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Kukui Grove
We will meet all our travelers by the Kauai Bakery. It is time to set the mood right for the day with an introduction to the legendary Portuguese doughnuts known as malasadas. Get ready for a delicious sweet treat. Coffee and other savory treats are also available for purchase. Please arrive at 8:00am so you have time to enjoy some coffee and pastries before the start of the tour.
2. Menehune Fish Pond
This is no ordinary pond, it is a jurassic size pond built in ancient times by the first inhabitants of Hawaii, the people from the Marquesas Islands. Marvel at the beautiful surroundings as we drive you through the Kipu Kai area. Learn about the fascinating legend of the Menehunes, the archeological and cultural importance of the pond. Many Hollywood movies have been filmed in this area. We will stop in two areas to take many pictures.
3. Wailua Falls
Last but not least is time to visit one more waterfall, because you can't never have enough waterfalls. Iconic Wailua Falls was featured on the opening scene of the Fantasy Island Tv show. You will have plenty of time for pictures. The perfect closure for a tour.
4. Lydgate State Park
Time to take a stroll down the path by the beautiful Lydgate Beach Park, where you can soak your feet in the famous Morgan Ponds, learn about the ancient temple of worship were Hawaiians greeted the rising sun daily, the city of refuge, and more. This is a leisure walk for all age groups. you will have many picture opportunities.
5. Opaekaa Falls
At this stop you will walk to visit two sites, Opaekaa Falls and the Wailua River lookout, located in Wailua town where the Hawaiian royalty lived in ancient times. Beautiful views and many picture ops await for you here.
6. Poli'ahu Heiau
Heiaus are ancient Hawaiian temples of worship. Set high atop the mountains, Poliahu offers magnificent views of the ocean and the Wailua River. Your guide will share fascinating stories about Hawaiian history and culture, and maybe feed the feral chickens while we are at it.
7. Kapaa
Lunch location will be announced on the day of the tour. It will depend on the weather. If it's sunny we will take you to downtown Kapaa where you will have many food choices from food trucks to local markets and restaurants. If it's rainy we will eat at Lava Lava Beach Club. Either way, we are sure you will love it!

This tour was great! We saw some beautiful places, my favorite was the waterfall. Shasta was super fun and sweet and very knowledgeable. We had a delicious lunch and she gave us some great recommendations. The tour was the perfect length of time, not too long, not too short. Would definitely recommend and Shasta was awesome!

Coco was a great tour guide. We learned so much about the east side of Kauai from a historical perspective. She knew about how the first inhabitants and shared many stories of how they came and flourished. Coco is a log time resident of the east side and passed along many great pointers of places to visit. She has a great personality and was attentive to everyone on the tour. Highly recommend joining one of her tours.

We really enjoyed Coco. She was our driver and tour guide. She did an excellent job at both. She answered questions and if she didn’t know the answer, my husband was sure to help her out with a humorous answer of his own. The two of them could go on the road with their delightful banter. That shows that Coco can put up with just about anyone. Everyone had a great time adding their own quips. I’m sure any group would enjoy their time well spent getting to see the sights with Coco.

Unfortunately our cruise ship was 2.5 hours late getting to port so we missed the tour. Coco Maria was wonderful trying to do everything in her power to accommodate our timing but we just couldn’t make it work. I know the tour would have been 5 stars so I felt I should give it a good rating regardless
