Join us on our Coffee Farm experience as we set out from the center of the city and head an hour and a half deeper into the mountains of Bogotá! We will start the day by enjoying a traditional Colombian breakfast together and then go to meet our local farmers. We will discuss what it means to be an organic coffee farm and what the daily tasks of a farmer look like. We will walk around the farm and take in the more than 8,000 coffee plants. We’ll learn how to hand-pick coffee and process it, and then afterwards we will enjoy a delicious cup of coffee prepared in a unique way. If the weather and season permits we will even get to plant our own coffee! We wrap up the tour with local cuisine for lunch and began the trip back to the city, making brief stops to take pictures of the Paramos ecosystems and the picturesque Bogotá city skyline. Total duration: 7-8 hours.

Having Nick as my guide was such an amazing experience! Even during the ride he would tell me something about Choachi and certain plants that only grows on protected areas. So knowledgeable about coffee farming and excellent english as well. Marcela was such an amazing host at the farm and it truly humbles you to get to know the origin of coffee and its processes. Definitely coming back to experience this again!

Marcela was a great Tour Leader! She was knowledgeable and friendly. She was also helpful, making sure the breakfast and lunch were okay for my medical restrictions.

Being a coffee farmer for a day was an unforgettable experience! I was immersed in the rich culture and intricate process of coffee cultivation. The day started with a warm welcome from the local farmers, who shared their deep knowledge and passion for coffee production. I learned firsthand about the meticulous care that goes into growing and harvesting coffee beans, from tending to the plants to handpicking the ripe cherries.

This activity allowed me to truly appreciate the labor of love behind every cup of coffee.
I left with a deeper understanding of the journey from bean to cup and a heart full of gratitude for the opportunity to be a coffee farmer, if only for a day. I highly recommend this activity to anyone seeking a hands-on and enriching experience that celebrates the true essence of coffee culture. I guarantee you will not look at coffee the same way.

From beginning to end the tour was fantastic. Got to see some of the countryside outside Bogota on our way there - to include the cloud rainforest. Once we arrived the staff was amazing, the food was delicious, Karen (our guide) was so knowledgable and engaging, we learned so much about the entire process and went home with a suitcase full of coffee. Loved it!

The coffee farm experience was really cool. Along the way, the guide Lorena explained all the biomes, animals and curiosities about the region. The La Campesinas finca was run by Marcela, who taught us the entire coffee process, she alone is worth the trip, it's nice. Furthermore, I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and a typical dish for lunch, all washed down with lots of coffee too.
