Based on our experience, this tour is really only worth it if you have a large group (maybe 8+) and maybe just want an island driving tour. There were 5 of us and we ended up doing 3 stops, all which cost quite a bit extra; and there really wasn’t much to see on the drive for the guide to talk about. We did a chocolate factory tour ($70+), spent time at a beach ($100), and did the Mayan bee tour ($45) as well. All worth it but none included in this tour. The most disappointing was to pay $100 to ‘go to the beach’. When we asked if any options for a free beach, the guide informed us that the free beaches really aren’t maintained so wouldn’t be a very good option. The beach we went to was ok and had drinks and food available for purchase (but we weren’t looking for that) and also shops, but that is not why we were going there. I think the tour operator should make it more clear that if you want to do anything other than drive around, you will have to pay for it, including going to a beach. For us, this was very overpriced transportation that we wouldn’t have booked knowing this beforehand.

Anna was an excellent guide… she went above and beyond to make the tour fun but at the same time comfortable for our senior aged members of the family… we enjoyed our tour especially the chocolate and tequila tasting. Our kids all the way to the oldies all enjoyed the tour.

Ricky, our tour guide was phenomenal. He was knowledgeable, personable, understanding, and accommodated all of our needs. The driver Jorge’ was very professional, courteous and careful and an excellent driver. They took us to the beach at the end of the row of beaches, which was very nice and the girls had fun and then we did a small tour around the island and stopped at Saint Miguel Catholic Church, and then went to the souvenir shops, everyone had a great time and felt very comfortable and had a lot of fun

Overall, the tour was everything we expected. We were a group of 8 cruising together. We booked this tour/excursion with a list of were we wanted to go. Everything went well except at San Gervasio (Mayan Ruins) to enter we had to pay two different fees. Our van guide took us in and acted as our guide thoughtout the site. No guide is really needed. As we were leaving suddenly he said we also had to pay another $40 for the guide service. We had never agreed to this guide service and he was our guide on the van which we paid for. None of us asked him to be our guide. Everyone in the group felt cheated by our van guide.

Our family had such an amazing time on this tour of the island. There were so many stops that we choose along the way to take some great photos, eat, and learn about the history of the island. Our tour guide Elsy did a great job at explaining interesting fun facts and the history of Cozumel, she was very knowledgeable and a lot of fun! Our driver Mr. Chuy was also very attentive to our group. We highly recommend this tour because you choose the stops and how much time at each stop without ever being rush.
