Mario delivered the best service imaginable! He was full of so much information about Michael Angelo and the Sistine Chappell and David! It was so not what I was expecting but my expectations were high after Mario’s initial introduction! I am flawed by his level of intellect, knowledge and interest and he is full of so much passion. I could hear this from the way he carried himself and how he spoke. He even took the time to learn the names of everyone and it was just amazing!! Highly highly recommend.

Mario is an excellent guide with deep knowledge of Michaelagelo’s and its relationship to humanism and christianity. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Mario.

The tour was fantastic! It was my first time in Florence as an American art studies major. Mario does a good job keeping everyone engaged, is very personable and knowledgeable. He remembered everyone’s name in our group and had insight to art I had never heard before—as an art major! He tackles many of the theories as to the ideologies of Michelangelo but offers one that is extremely relevant to us even today. Highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Mario to do it!

This was our best tour of David over the years. Mario’s interpretation of Michaelangello’s lifetime work was unique and interesting. A step above the standard tour guide prose.

Our guide Mario was fantastic. We do not ordinarily opt for guided tours, but in this case it was well worth it. His passion for what he does and knowledge of the subject matter is impressive. He made it fun and interactive. Very educational. Worth every penny!!

There were some SNAFUs with hot sun
AND it’s a lot of money ( 45 euros plus 20 euro admission fee-total of 65 euros per person.
Mario was great- very engaging and endearing . I know it’s all show, but when the tour is over you want to have a beer with the guy

Mario was so informative and entertaining and his energy is envious. To see a famous statue is one thing, but to be pulled into the world of what the artist may have been thinking and some contextual history opens your eyes to something way more interesting and valuable. This was no boring talk-at-you lecture, but an engaging thought-provoking experience. A bonus: everyone in the group (Mario keeps it small) was engaged and friendly, so we felt like a little friend group for our short time together. Thank you, Mario. We hope to see you again!
