Black Ops Experience

We celebrated my son's 12th birthday along with my Father. The three of us had a great time. Mike connected with my son immediately by focussing on his interests. He definitely went out of his way to make sure he had a memorable birthday experience. Mike has great experience and is an excellent teacher. He was able to break down the training in a way we could understand and replicate. I personally learned a lot from this experience and walked away with a new set of skills and a better understanding of the areas I need more work. I would highly recommend spending a day with Mike and his team at Arizona Tactical Adventures.

Mike was a great teacher. He makes you feel comfortable with using real firearms. It is clear that safety is his top priority. The Black Ops Experience was a great way to get introduced to room clearing tactics. I would highly recommend Mike and his company. I plan to return for additional experiences and courses.

Brought my family of four for the Black Ops Experience. Incredible, personalized service and training pace that matched our [lack of] skills and abilities, and age range (21 - 82). All equipment and facilities were in great shape. Attention to service detail was impeccable (truly immersive experience!). Our adventure turned out so much better that we had anticipated/expected. Going through this experience gives a whole new level of appreciation and respect for those who serve as a profession. We live in Arizona so we're local and will definitely take part in additional adventures in the future.

This is really fun! I went with 4 of my sisters for our annual sisters weekend and did this. What a blast! One of the funnest activity's we have done in the last 20 years of meeting up. Highly recommend! Well worth the cost. Good memory were made.

This was an experience I'll never forget. My husband and I signed up and I thought "I'll do this for him....." We arrived and were greeted by Mike (the owner). He is a great instructor. He talked to us about what we were looking for with the experience and he taught us and guided us through the entire thing. I never imagined I'd learn so much. It was really fun, but it was real life educational too. I would do this again.
Mike - I bought the book you recommended and it's been excellent so far.

We had such a great time! They were so patient teaching us and they were so friendly! The experience was also unforgettable! We have never heard of an activity like this but we had a blast! We worked together as a family and only few of us died along the adventure including a reporter…oops! We would definitely recommend and will be attending again!

We had four people participate, all of varying ages from 11-61, and everyone loved it. Mike was very thorough and detailed with everything. He was very attentive to our safety and made sure we had fun in the process.

Mike, the owner, was great. We were scheduled for Thursday, but as we woke up on Wednesday - it was overcast and raining in Phoenix (not the best hiking weather). I took a chance and called ATA before normal opening hours. Fortunately, Mike was there already (being ex-military I wasn't TOO surprised he'd be up and about. He was great allowing us to come a day early. He had another couple going that day and suggested we all go together as we'd get more repetitions in the kill house and we did.

We did the black ops experience and everyone was all in. For example we had the option of putting the ballistic plates in our combat vest or not - everyone wanted as realistic an experience as possible so everyone put then in.

Reading online I though it would be like laser tag, but no we used real M-16's. But the "ammo" were essentially M-16 ammo loaded with maybe only a primer and a tiny paint ball pellet. So we were actually shooting and hitting targets and Mike would de-brief us after each scenario on our shooting.

Using the night vision gear was really cool. So with a little training, Mike would brief us on whether we are rescuing a hostage, looking for a IED etc and we'd set of to clear the kill house of bad guys and accomplish the mission - then a debrief afterwards. NO spoilers here - but there will be surprises!

Mike told us his goal was for all of us to be safe, have fun, and have a good experience. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. I have read many books/watched movies about the US military - this was my chance to get a tiny taste of what some of them do for a living.

Mike had an afternoon group coming in and we stuck around and chatted. He showed up some more modern night vision gear and how it worked with infrared laser designators. And chatted about things about the military and his business. He's a great guy.

My wife and I are senior firearms instructors at a facility in Indiana and were very impressed with what Arizona Tactical Adventures offered. The opportunity to work as a pair or team of 4 working trough tactical room clearing scenarios using night vision equipment was incredible. Mike, the instructor,, did a great job of making sure everyone was having a great time, but maintained a focus on safety throughout. Mike also did a great job adapting the 2 hours to the level of experience of each person present. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone! Mike will take care of you and you will have an awesome and unique experience. We were so impressed we are working at bringing a group of instructors out to take more training with Mike later this year.
