Paul was our boat captain and he was the best. Very knowledgeable about the water, the tides and the history of the land. He was incredibly kind to a grandma in our boat and his kindness was lovely. For this alone I would highly recommend this tour.
However he also picked us up on time and delivered us to our bike path across the water which was great.
Overall, exceeded expectations for an afternoon boat ride.
Cheers Paul!

We had an amazing time at the Gap of Dunloe, what an amazing experience! I think I this one of the ‘Must Do’s’ in Ireland. This company was great and took excellent care of us.

We did the boat tour from Ross Castle to Lord Brandon’s cottage. We rented bikes and took them with us. The sights were gorgeous. Our captain was very informative and super nice. Fantastic day!!

We took the boat from Ross Castle to Lord Brandon's, had lunch there and took the boat back. Our daughter walked the Gap and we picket her up at Kate Kearneys later. The weather was gorgeous , the views were amazing, and all in all it ranks as one the best days of my life.
Will definitely go again.

Beautiful walk with wonderful views. There were a few other hikers on the walk so it's wasn't total solitude but it was peaceful. Be prepared for the odd car and jaunting carriage along the route too.

The boat journey there was informative and cuts through all three lakes but you may be able to hear morecif you're sitting at the stern of the boat.

We did the Boat and Bike tour - bought the boat only tix through Gap of Dunloe Tours and rented ebikes at Killarney Bike Rental. Great way to spend a day. Boat ride is a very scenic ~ 1.5 hour ride through a few lakes and streams. Get to the pier early (there are more than 1 pier at Ross Castle, you want Reen - we went to the wrong one first....) and explore the castle. If you are going to ride bikes back through the Dunloe Gap (BEAUTIFUL ride), I'd recommend ebikes. The first part of the ride is a pretty steep climb up to the top of the gap. After that, it's mostly downhill. You'll need to be in pretty excellent shape to attempt the climb on a regular bike. Also, there are lots of paths around Killarney Park to ride after you are back in town.

The tour was awesome. The guides were friendly and provided good instructions. the boat ride was well worth it to see the park from the water. We then walked the Gap of Dunloe instead of jaunting. Only downside is the rush you feel at the end to be on time to catch the bus going back to Killarney. The walk is well worth it if you are physically able to do it, but the time limit doesn't allow you much time to take in the scenery and stop to snack. That's the downside, but i'd walk it anytime over jaunting!
